This is my pool. Someone had the "smart" idea to make the shallow end 5' 5". For comparison, I'm 5' 10". So, after two steps, my head goes under water. The pool is obviously not for children. 🧵 Image
The problem with the depth is that until recently, I was terrified of water. And with this pool, I can't get tired halfway and stand up. I must make it to either end or side to reach safety.
I learnt to swim to survive. I love traveling and for island destinations, I needed to know my way around water. I swam to enhance my travel experience and to not die on vacation. This year, I finally chose to face my trepidation around water.

Fired off two proposals today for global opportunities that I would've talked myself out of not even 1 year ago.

This is your reminder to face your fears and go for it.
I've been writing proposals since my last year of high school... Focusing on sharpening my Copywriting has sharpened my proposal writing on a new level.

If you do it right, you almost make the reader feel like it was *their idea* to bring you onboard. #Mastery
If there's one skill I'm proud of, it's that I can write, present, and pitch with a very high closing rate. The elusive triple crown.

I still have so much to learn, so much to refine and master.
I feel like I'm just getting started.

1/ We launched the first version of Schoolze in 2015. Last 3 years has been a journey of highs & lows but our discovery of #SchoolSuccess factors has been fascinating. Here is how we did it -
2/ Schoolze started as a classroom productivity tool and a year later, we built a school product to measure parental engagement. While at it, we discovered a major shift taking place in K12. To understand this shift, let's revisit some historical K12 facts.
3/ Our current K12 model dates back to the Industrial Revolution of the 19th century. Influenced by conformity, compliance & obedience, it sought people who could take instructions and get a specific job done without being disruptive. #YouYourChildandSchool

THE ARCHER
There was a young archer who was winning competition after competition. Riding high on success he challenged the old master to a test of skills.

The young archer let the first arrow loose and it landed dead center of the bullseye. The second found its way home too.
"Ha! Beat THAT, if you can!" he boasted.

The master smiled nodding his head slowly. "Impressive. Let's take a walk," he said as he headed towards the nearby mountain.

Up they climbed all afternoon. The master said nothing. The young challenger grew more curious.
They finally reached a deep chasm with an old fallen tree acting as a natural bridge. The master calmly strode to the middle of the log, called a distant tree as his target, took aim, and let the arrow fly.

Dead center of a tiny knot in the trunk.
