En el viaje de hoy nos iremos 20 millones de años atrás, a lo que hoy en día es el Valle Central de #California (EEUU).
En esta época, era un mar de interior repleto de vida marina donde #focas primitivas, tortugas marinas y el conocido #megalodón eran algunos de sus habitantes.
Aunque también había #morsas primitivas, de al menos 3 especies distintas:
Pelagiarctos thomasi
Neotherium mirum
Titanotaria orangensis
Y la peculiaridad de estas es que... no tenían COLMILLOS.

Bueno... maticemos. Una de ellas se sabe que no tenía, y las otras dos probablemente tampoco, aunque esta afirmación no se ha podido corroborar por la falta de muestras en el registro #fósil.
