Estas "manos orando" fueron dibujadas con tinta negra y blaco de plomo, sobre papel azul. Las podéis ver en el Museo "Graphische Sammlung Albertina", #Viena (#Austria).

Uno de los cuadros más interesantes del Museo del Prado en lo que se refiere a los universos #vanitas y #mementomori es "Las edades y la muerte", de Hans Baldung Grien (1541-44). Vamos a ver sus detalles
La muerte como frío y cruel recordatorio que empaña el aquí y el hora de la juventud, la belleza, el amor o el éxito es un tema recurrente en Grien, ya visto en su insistente "La muerte y la doncella", en versiones como estas, (1510, 1517, 1520) o en otra de 1529 con un caballero
No es, en la versión del Prado, la primera vez que la muerte y la doncella se ven acompañadas de la vejez. En el mal titulado "Los dos amantes y la muerte" (1509-11) ya vemos a una mujer mayor como advertencia presente

Apenas o fato de "lembrar-se da morte" pode ser angustiante e causar tremenda ansiedade, pode até mesmo nos jogar para baixo. Porém, diante da incerteza do mundo e a confrontação, a cada momento, com a Finitude, todos nós temos de lembrar que nada, nem ninguém é eterno.
