Yesterday was #WorldMentalHealthDay and I engaged my WhatsApp audience on Social Media vs Social Depression

I'm not a pro actually😂😂😂😂

I just want to express my concern.

We are all social creatures😁😁. We need the relationship with others to thrive in life, and the strength of our connections has a huge impact on our mental health and happiness. Being socially connected to others will seriously help us at every facet of live and we can't do ...
anything without relationship and companionship with others. Social connection can ease stress, anxiety, and depression, boost self-worth, provide comfort and joy, prevent loneliness, and even add years to your life.

On October 2nd, a very close friend of mine passed away due to a heart attack. He was 33, has a 3 year old. If you ever spoke to him, you'd never know how much stress he was under. He'd always say "I can't show my weakness, my stress in front of my child & my wife".
That fateful morning, he woke up with a chest and back pain. As he lived in a small town, the local doctor advised him to be transferred to a bigger hospital which was 12 kms away. He didn't make it. He died in his father's arms. He never expressed his stress except for

i find #MentalHealthAwarenessDay fraudulent at times. 2 yrs ago, middle class media types & MH activists would tell me i was being an agitator for pointing out postcode lottery in services or why just talking about talking won't help.
now in 2019 i see them tweeting that stuff.
i just honestly find today quite a predictable snooze fest of middle class people tweeting that its ok not to be ok, when theyve all seen a harley street therapist. theyre not affected by poverty or an inability to get help or a job that won't slyly punish them for going to a GP
i honestly think the best way a mental health day could help, would be less in posh people talking about sad days and the stress of a high-powered job & more in finding w/c people to talk about:
addiction
poverty
food costs
the gig economy
gambling
homelessness
sexuality
violence
