How to deal with being gaslit.

Identify that you're actually being gaslit: Before you take any action, be sure of what the situation is. Gaslighting is a continuous thing, not something that happens just when the person has a bad day.

Step away from the situation to calm down.
When you're being gaslit, it is normal for you to feel a range of strong emotions- anger, frustration, sadness, fear, worry, etc. But it is important that you don't let these emotions guide your reaction to them.
You want to deal with the situation in a rational manner. Step away for a while; do some breathing exercises, take a walk.

On Saturday, we asked the question. 'How did you tell your parents about your mental health challenges?'

Here are some responses from our Instagram.
We got a lot of funny responses, but most of them were sad.

We can tell that there is still a lot of work to do with regards awareness about mental health challenges.
Till we get to a point where kids can comfortably discuss their mental health challenges with their parents, there is still work to be done.

We appreciate all your comments. πŸ’š
