Aber erstmal von vorn...
Von den vielen Eiern haben es nur vier Raupen geschafft. Sie machen vier Häutungen durch und sehen jedes Mal etwas anders aus. Auf dem rechten Bild sieht man die Raupen nach der 2. Häutung und noch die Überbleibsel der Häutung daneben.

Like all arthropods, insects are covered in a cuticle made of proteins and chitine (a polysaccharide shared with fungi) that harden their body. As they grow, this cuticle becomes small and they need to moult.
