There has never been a day when I haven't been proud to be Canadian. But on this day, September 25, 2021, I am particularly proud of my country that refused to forget the names of two ordinary Canadians, Michael Spavor and Michael Kovrig, the two #Michaels
who 1000 days ago were in the wrong place at the wrong time, taken by force and deprived of their human rights by the regime in Beijing that stole their freedom, put them in solitary confinement, forced them to endure a sham trial -convicted them for crimes they never committed.
Indeed the convictions themselves were crimes that continue to go unpunished in a world where expectations are low of countries governed by those who without the capacity to care about morality & humanity, only ideology & power. But on this day, Saturday, September 25th, 2021,
