After discovering that #GeorgeFloyd and #OfficerChauvin knew one another and had a history working together, and after listening to yesterday’s MN Department of Health #Covid press briefing, here is the readers digest version of my thoughts on what is going on:
The MN DoH said yesterday that they wouldn’t be surprised to see higher numbers of Covid due to the #riots, demographic, and lack of #SocialDistancing. Listen to video below at the 26 minute mark. (The last several minutes cut away to coverage of rioting.)
Governor Walz has stated that he doesn’t intend to fully reopen the state until there is a vaccine available.
V Minneapolis/St. Paul začaly předevčírem protesty proti policii poté, co 4 místní policisté slovy starosty 'zavraždili' Afroameričana během zatýkání. Protesty se včera na několika místech bohužel změnily i v rabování. Zkusím krátce vysvětlit proč se to děje:
Minneapolis je výjimečně bohaté, prosperující a zároveň relativně levné město. Prostě skvělé k životu.

Problém je v tom, že tato prosperita se v drtivé míře týká pouze bělošského obyvatelstva. Většinou si segregaci spojujeme s jihem USA, ale Minneapolis je minimálně v oblasti bydlení a přístupu ke kvalitním školám jedno z nejsegregovanějších měst v USA.

Pray for peace in Minnesota. This is heading in a very dangerous direction. Burning down a family run restaurant that had nothing to do with any of this is not a solution #minneapolisriots
Don't know for sure if this is true (first Mayor) but Mayor Frey has been unequivocal in his outrage from the very start and clear in his demand that justice be done and the officer charged.
