Yesterday, we acquired a couple of v1 Punks (@v1punks) from legendary collector @straybits1. It is perhaps our most exciting acquisition to date. Some thoughts:
Our mandate is to acquire rare, unique, and historically significant NFTs; this much is reflected in our portfolio that is heavily weighted towards #HistoricalNFTs. We have a #Blockhead, #TwitterEggs, #SoG #RarePepes, #MoonCats, etc. alongside specimen like our gold fur #BAYC
We were first made aware of the v1 market through @LeonidasNFT (you can view his NFT timeline via his pinned tweet) We immediately began digging into the story of @v1punks, which are the first iteration of CryptoPunks by @larvalabs and pre-dated the collection as we now know it

It's created by @ponderware and the cats got rescued from the moon in 2017 to its rediscovery in 2021.

The developer @ponderware saw his dream becoming reality in 2021 and he came back from the ashes.
In a short amount of time he build mooncat.community on which you can acclimate your MoonCats to make them part of @opensea. It also enables the option for accessories.

#EtherRocks were created on December 25, 2017 (Christmas Day). The contract allows for the minting of 100 total rocks, making rocks one of the earliest and scarcest NFT projects on the Ethereum blockchain, arriving shortly after #cryptopunks and #mooncats. (Continued)
The rocks were minted using a bonding curve, likely making them the first NFT project to ever do this. The first rock minted in 2017 costed around .1 ETH, and the last rock minted cost around 10 ETH. (continued)

I should have grabbed @sabet sooner than I did. I knew his story of @pixopop and also his original artwork which I loved the instant I saw it. He's been in the space for over 20yrs and has just recently made his way into NFTs. He's just getting started.
I heard @NylaCollection in a Clubhouse room and appreciated her being able to explain the reason and context of her work at such an early age. The "Long-Neckie" collection has a story and purpose.
