1/ Why indeed. “Allow me to retort.” This massacre gets played up because normally it’s the OTHER WAY AROUND. Why? To play upon our sympathies, perhaps? To show #Moslems can be attacked by a convenient “Right Wing Supremacist,” when this has never NEVER previously HAPPENED?
2/ After all, an island of 5M people who have “lived in peace and harmony for 100 years,” is rather unique. Even Sweden, with its first adopter syndrome, has only had #Moslems a mere 25 years. Turns out, all is not so: amp.theguardian.com/world/2018/dec…
3/ But back to the guilt syndrome: this seemingly random shooting could spark unintended consequences. “That symbolic Mosque you had wanted at Ground Zero? Done.” That mosque in San Bernardino where a “workplace shooting happened?” Done. The Pentagon? Done.
