News -- McConnell on Senate map and engaging in primaries
- Sees four states as key: OH, MT,
WV and PA (wants McCormick in)
- Still assessing WI, NV
- Likely to wait until after AZ primary to decide whether to spend there
- Doesn't see Sinema joining Rs
cnn.com/2023/05/08/pol…
“No, no -- I'm not," McConnell said with a laugh when asked if he were confident they'd take back the majority next year. "I just spent 10 minutes explaining to you how we could screw this up, and we're working very hard to not let that happen. Let's put it that way."
On Sinema flipping to GOP: “I think that decision was made when she ended up continuing to caucus with the Democrats. We would love to have had her, but we didn't land her."

#TX22's @RepTroyNehls was the point guard, so to speak, along with @EnesFreedom on this letter to @NBA commissioner Adam Silver.

Members of @HouseGOP and @SenateGOP, along with basketball star @EnesFreedom, are demanding answers from @NBA about its financial relationship with the Chinese Communist Party following an “in-your-face” display of CCP soft power in DC.

First, there’s the Democratic primary for #IASen, where DSCC-backed Theresa Greenfield is facing Mike Franken, Eddie Mauro, and Kimberly Graham to run against GOP Sen. Joni Ernst. If no candidate gets >35% of the vote, the race goes to a party convention businessinsider.com/iowa-senate-de…
The most-watched House primary today is in #IA04, where embattled GOP Rep. Steve King — after losing his committee assignments and being largely shunned by his party — is facing a well-funded primary challenge from GOP State Sen. Randy Feenstra businessinsider.com/steve-king-vs-…

People really appreciate it when I’m straightforward about U.S. Senator Daines’ tragic record. Now, I’m going to apply a bit of scrutiny to ourselves, as Democrats, this 2020 US Senate primary election season. Because we have a real opportunity to beat Senator Daines, contribute
to flipping the US Senate, and repair and rebuild our nation, if we so choose.

I. 1 of every 10 Montanans is a veteran.

Should I be fortunate enough to win the MT Democratic primary on 02 June 2020, it will mark the first time in many decades that Montanans in a general
election will have the opportunity to vote for a Democrat running for federal office who has served his country in uniform in a combat zone. (In my case, 4x deployed overseas and 2x permanently stationed overseas.) It will also mark the first time that an honors service academy

I get it: Montana would be tough to win even with Gov. Steve Bullock in the race. But he has zero shot at the presidential or VP nomination, & no other Dem could even make #MTsen competitive. Senate Dems need their best possible candidates in every race
If I were the next Democratic president, I'd also look much more favorably on Bullock for a cabinet/federal position if he did his party a favor by running in a tough Senate race & losing than running a hopeless presidential race & dropping out before Iowa

-#Montana’s 2018 U.S. Senate Race-
So what they are trying to tell us is of the 251,000 MT Republicans voted @GregForMontana for House: 16,000 voted for Democratic incumbent @SenatorTester over Republican challenger @MattForMontana (Rosendale)?
So an additional 4,000 Republicans didn’t vote for #Rosendale, #Tester or the #Independent candidate?! What is the likely hood the 20,000 Republicans voted for @GregForMontana but failed to vote for @MattForMontana in the most important mid-term ever?
Was it because @MattForMontana is from #Maryland & not #Montana? That can’t be the reason, because they voted for @GregForMontana , who's from #NewJersey.

If you're watching election results tonight, here's a breakdown of what I'm going to be watching for in the race for Congress as the numbers come in -->
Here are the magic numbers to keep in mind tonight:

Democrats need to flip 23 SEATS in order to win back the House.

Democrats need to flip 2 SEATS in order to win back the Senate.
The first exit polls will land at 5:00pm so we'll have some ideas about makeup of the electorate compared to previous years, etc. The first actual races close at 6:00pm: KY-6 will be the one to watch, with an eye on IN-9, but we won't read *too* much into these.

Hey @ABAesq when can we expect your re-evaluation or did you only write this letter to be incredibly political and fractured like your President @ABAPresident? Also does he know @jontester wouldn’t that be funny? Elephants remember things🐘
#Cleartheirnames
It’s just interesting that Bob Carlson is a Montana staple and Jon Tester is a Montana whale and it seems like all Senate Democrats we’re eager to contribute to the Kavanaugh false attack pile SO my money is that they do know each other and I will find out. 😘kisses ABA
LOOK! There they are ABA President Bob Carlson and Montana Senator Jon Tester, good old Carlson went rogue and wrote a letter allegedly on behalf of the entire @ABAesq which it wasn't... wonder who asked him to? Hint: he only has 7 fingers. cc: @ChuckGrassley @senorrinhatch

At the risk of sounding like a broken record: @TheDemocrats are HYPOCRITES! All day long they talk about “voter rights” meanwhile in #Montana they’ve been suing to keep the Green Party OFF the ballot?! All to protect #TwoFacedTester #VotingRights 🙄
washingtontimes.com/news/2018/jun/…
Their lawsuit was based on the way people signed?! Using cursive or “chicken scratch” meanwhile they’re suing in Georgia saying it’s RACIST to do that? THEY ARE THE F**KING WORST🤬
Holy shit THEY WON!? The always screaming racist Democrats sued the Green Party off the ballot. What a bunch of assholes. People don’t realize how often this party dies for wins.

Admiral Ronny Jackson was destroyed because of false accusations brought by @jontester. If we don’t fight back more lives will be ruined. Tell Democrats that true Americans believe in the presumption of innocence.
You know what to do Montana.
Vote @MattForMontana #mtsen
Important to note that @SenatorTester knew it wasn’t “opioids” that Dr. Jackson gave it was Ambien which is VERY common for every Administration to take, yet he allowed headlines to run rampant with lies and bastardized a serious epidemic. #VoteDemsOut
Colin Powell openly admitted that “everybody uses Ambien” yet all of the sudden Ronny Jackson was the monster? We must demand that they #ClearTheirNames #RonnyJackson

#Montana @SenatorTester has campaigned as a "big hunting proponent," sending out mailers to voters that show him on his farm with his gun in hand. (1)
“As we gear up for hunting season, Montanans know that hunting isn’t just a sport – it feeds our families, and it creates lifelong memories with our kids and grandkids,” Tester says in the campaign flier. (2)
“Montanans are lucky to have some of the best access, longest seasons and greatest hunting in the world.” (3)
