I mentally prepare for EVERY class. 99% of my classmates are white & that means being subjected to bits of harm frequently, regardless of what the class is about. Classes are an extension of my every day lived experiences, they aren’t better bc they’re with “educated” ppl. (2/12)
“Educated” in quotes bc academically, sure. We’re all well read. We’re all in a master’s program. But white ppl’s tendency to intellectualize topics that make them uncomfortable takes away from our classes’ ability to have meaningful dialogue. We’re constantly moving away (3/12)

Amb aquesta imatge volem agrair l'oportunitat que ens ha apropat a totes aquestes famílies i que ens ha permès aprendre i compartir tota mena d'experiències. Moments significatius, canvi de monotonies, suport als pares i mares, confiança, amistat, comiat, emocions compartides...
Tantes i tantes paraules que acompanyen a la música i que durant un any hem ordit en totes aquestes cases.

Some favorite death metal albums, in no particular order:
First day back at the hospital since the weekend’s madness. I usually run a singing group in the evening that’s open to patients,staff, family & friends. Visitors are now not allowed, so it was just patients at the start, with staff milling in and out.
We talked about the coronavirus, and I suggested singing “I will survive”. We belted out the first line “At first I was afraid I was petrified!!” to much laughter. Somewhere during this, spontaneous dancing happened. I put Dancing Queen next, and before I knew it,
more and more staff came in.. doctor, nurse, HCA.... all dancing with the patients. Stroke patients with limited mobility were on their feet with assistance from staff, dancing along, everyone enjoying themselves but also trying to keep an arm’s width apart.
It’s #Monday, I’m boozing it up at a 4 seat bar, the #barkeep is a long pourer, and I’m all fucking set if I get something stuck between my teeth.👇🙃 #RandomThoughts #drinking #OutAndAbout
