Jugsalai city of Jharkhand has become the Best City in 'Innovation & Best Practices’ (25-50K Population) in East Zone. This town has done a commendable job in promoting ULB & citizen-led innovations. 
Particularly interesting is the idea of processing used tea leaves into highly nutritious compost with the help of Prerna Mahila Samiti SHG, a group of 10 women leading to the making of a highly nutritious compost available at quite affordable rates.
This at the same time contributes to a clean & green environment. The city is also ODF++ certified. Citizens of Jugsalai must be commended for their commitment to the 3R principle of Reduce, Reuse & Recycle and for sustainable sanitation.
