SEPECAT Jaguar 🇳🇬 interesting story is attached to this once legendary Anglo-French deep strike aircraft. #Nigeria bought 16 units but weren’t allowed full weaponry as fear was that #NAF would invade neighbours. Blame corruption or strict T&Cs imposed by British Aerospace (BAE) 
Most of the fleet didn’t even log more than 150-200 hours with just one inspection. Nearly all new airframe were grounded within 6 years of induction. Contract with British Aerospace was never renewed, closing of Jaguar line,India being sole source of parts/upgrades & maintenance
Several attempts were made to sell these mostly new but beyond flyable airframes (needed investment). But no buyer came forward as age of deep strike aircraft was coming to end with multirole aircraft taking job of strike platform. #NAF will welcome soon 3 JF-17N Thunder.
