NEW from me @TheSpectator:

I’m at today’s long awaited @tiktok_us hearing, where the Communist spyware CEO is going to gaslight America

He’s now on on Cap Hill with a Socialist Congressman and a Biden-tied Mao lover's firm in his pockets

TikTok’s CEO is gearing up for a grilling in Congress, but he’s got some new, powerful allies in his corner: a political consulting firm whose founder lavished praise on Mao Zedong and is now one of Biden’s top aides — and a socialist congressman who thespectator.com/topic/tiktok-f…twitter.com/i/web/status/1…

Congratulations @TedBuddNC!

Ted Budd has been an ardent defender of life in the House, defending the rights of unborn babies and advocating for the safety & security of their mothers. We look forward to seeing him continue his good work in the Senate! #NCSen #LifeWins22
1/7
Budd stood firmly for life:

“I’ve always been pro-life. Cheri Beasley supports abortion at any time, for any reason, all the way until the moment of birth – and at taxpayer expense. That's wildly out of step with where North Carolinians are.”

2/7
Senator-elect @TedBuddNC has been a leader for life as an initial cosponsor of @LindseyGrahamSC’s 15-week abortion limit. We look forward to continuing working with him to advance this popular, commonsense legislation in the Senate.

Two of the House Republicans who voted to try to overturn the 2020 Presidential Election are running for the U.S. Senate this year.

Both Ted Budd (#NCSen) and Markwayne Mullin (#OKSen) voted to exclude the electors in Arizona as well as the electors in Pennsylvania.
In addition, both of these Senate candidates signed onto a Supreme Court Amicus Brief which asked the Court to throw out the results in four different states which Trump lost (Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin).
In Budd’s case, this means that the Republican Senate candidate in a state Trump barely won (NC was the state Trump won by the slimmest margin) tried to get the election tossed out in his neighboring state, Georgia, which Trump lost (GA borders NC).

BREAKING: We just filed a lawsuit against the NC State Board of Elections' corrupt, lawless, and partisan decision to keep the Green Party off the ballot - even though we submitted over 2000 verified signatures more than required by law.

This case will determine whether the political establishment can abuse its power to stop another party from participating in elections, simply because they don’t want to compete with candidates who stand for working people, our planet, peace, and real democracy.
All 3 Democrats on @NCSBE voted to keep @NorthCarolinaGP off the ballot. This was after the @dscc targeted people who signed NCGP's petition to try to remove their names. In many cases, signers were contacted by unknown operatives who falsely claimed to represent the Green Party.

It looks like the vendor the Green Party paid to collect signatures for its petition to get on NC's US Senate ballot, First Choice Consulting, is the same one implicated in the massive Republican signature forgery scandal unfolding in Michigan.
bridgemi.com/michigan-gover… #ncpol
Basically, First Choice Consulting, which has a history of fraud, collected tens of thousands of fraudulent signatures for GOP candidates running for governor in Michigan. They got caught, and now 5 of those candidates have been disqualified.
axios.com/local/detroit/… #ncpol
So it's at least... interesting... that the NC Greens, which are running a spoiler campaign to defeat the Democratic candidate Cheri Beasley in #ncsen, hired the same GOP firm to collect signatures for them.

Pretty remarkable coincidence. #ncpol

This helped Dole in 2008: she lost by 8.5% that year, but improved in swaths of southeastern NC. The dark red swing in Robeson is the Lumbee precincts. White Dems in rural Columbus were drifting away by then, too. Hagan still carried the area, but a pro-R trend was there #ncsen Image
it's rare that I do a map that doesn't make Hagan look good, but this probably had more to do with Dole 😅
Plus these two counties would have been Trump +22% last year, so a Dem winning it by 20% looks impressive by today's standards.

The first U.S. Senator I ever interviewed and a juggernaut campaigner. @madeline_will and I prepped for my interview with her the week before and had been planning for months on end before it. May she Rest In Peace.
I feel like @jmilescoleman would horsewhip me if I didn’t mention that she outran Barack Obama in 2008. I doubt that could happen today as NC’s rural areas become redder. Her loss in 2014 was a product of a changing state and a bad year for Dems. #NCPol
Meanwhile, *I* will horsewhip anyone who compares North Carolina to Georgia. More of NC’s population is rural and while a lot of that rural population is Black, there are fewer than Georgia. #NCSen
