My sister,a teacher in the US, suffered MS then died of Brain Cancer.She chose to stop treatment because she was nearly bankrupt.She died aged 53. My husband died of cancer in UK at 48 Debt free.

Unless very wealthy, the majority, in UK have little idea of costs of healthcare, because noone needed to fear bankruptcy. I watched my sister juggle what her insurance in US would & would not pay. If it was an emergency or not ( it made a difference re insurance)

Noone should die, due to lack of funds.
The care will not improve, because it is privatised. Costs will sky rocket. Shareholders want profit. The staff will not be paid better, & there will not magically be more staff. The knock on effect will be catastrophic.

There is the obvious: NHS will not succeed unless social care does. There are some tangible leavers to pull about funding and rules and most of the policy work has been done. Just ask @RichardnotatKF. It's now about politics 2/
On the core NHS changes, it will be hard to find anyone who disagrees with the direction of travel i.e. more integration. However, the concept has been around for more than a decade and many £m have been spent on NOT achieving it. 3/
