Clearly an error in #nhsen results from NH SOS, which show 193 votes for Bolduc & 1106 for Hassan in Columbia (pop. ~660). sos.nh.gov/elections/elec…

Data from DDHQ & local media show 193 & 106 votes.

I’ve reached out to NH SOS.
Hassan appears to have won the statewide race by roughly 55,000 votes. Her victory was projected by media outlets that recorded 106 votes for her in Columbia (not 1106), so these Columbia numbers aren’t going to change the outcome. Still, we need to understand & fix the error.
I have seen a post that makes obviously implausible claims about this apparent data entry error. I am in favor of skepticism that seeks real answers. I’ll let you know what I find out.

Our final Senate forecast for @SplitTicket_. 49D-50R, with a runoff to decide it all in Georgia. If we had to pick a party to win the majority, though, it's the Republicans.

#PASen: Lean D -> Lean R
#NHSen: Likely D -> Lean D
#NVSen: Tossup -> Lean D

@SplitTicket_ Here's a table showing our changes from our last update. We've said everything we wanted to say and everything we think we needed to say in the article itself. We'll have one more piece out tomorrow on the overall environment. Thanks for reading, folks. Always a pleasure.
I actually had PA and NV *both* going R before @RalstonReports' update. But once we saw the data he put up and then saw his prediction for CCM, we pivoted. There's a good data argument for it, and we wouldn't bet against the guy who got Harry Reid and Dean Heller's victories down

We've shifted three races since our last temperature check in the Senate @SplitTicket_:

#OHSen: Likely R -> Lean R
#WISen: Tossup -> Lean R
#NHSen: Lean D -> Likely D

With that said, we wouldn't bank on an upset here, and these are not core battlegrounds split-ticket.org/2022/10/18/wha…
@SplitTicket_ The environment looks materially better for Republicans now than it did a month ago, especially on a statewide level. I don't think anyone can realistically argue otherwise. This update has two shifts to the Dems and one to the Republicans, but the overall picture gets more R.
@SplitTicket_ Why? Because the one tossup opportunity that is getting moved goes in the GOP direction. We don't expect Republicans to win NH or Democrats to win Ohio...but we never really expected that to begin with, so this shifts the median outcome to be more Republican.

It's by far the least discussed race but Sununu winning by 15% sounds about right.

Less than half of his margin in 2020, but still a big win.
Independents are backing Hassan 48/36, Pappas 48/41, Kuster 49/37 & Sununu 53/35.

Look at the results from last night's Republican primaries in NH:
#NHSEN- MAGA Republican won
#NH02- MAGA Republican won
#NH01- MAGA Republican won
All 3 of them are far-right election deniers.

For the sake of our democracy, this anti-democracy cult must be defeated in Nov.
Don't forget, the Republican establishment invested heavily against this candidate, but they won anyway. In fact, Trump didn't even endorse anyone in the senate race, but the MAGA candidate won anyway. This isn't just a fringe. This is what the Republican base has become.
Liz Cheney said: "The reality that we face today as Republicans...we have to choose, because Republicans cannot both be loyal to Trump and loyal to the Constitution."

At the end of the primaries season, what Republicans have chosen is clear. They must lose the election in Nov.

Following a slew of Democratic overperformances (#NY19, #NY23, #MN01, #NE01) and a polling surge for them post-Dobbs, we have some ratings changes @SplitTicket_ to announce.

#WISen: Lean R -> Tossup
#PASen: Tossup -> Lean D
#AZSen: Tossup -> Lean D

@SplitTicket_ I'm not saying Oz can't win. Nor am I saying Masters cannot. I'm simply saying that you cannot create a credible case at the moment to say either of those two candidates is favored, and that's what you'd need to keep a race at a tossup. Rs have a chance, but Ds have the edge.
@SplitTicket_ I will not be moving NH until the primary. If Bolduc wins, #NHSen is Likely Democratic.

Anyways, I'm sure this will produce well-reasoned, good-faith discourse!

Big blow for GOP in hopes to take back Senate. After heavy lobbying campaign, Gov. Chris Sununu declines to challenge Maggie Hassan in #nhsen.
“I’d d rather push myself 120 miles an hour delivering wins for New Hampshire than to slow down, end up on Capitol Hill debating partisan politics without results. That’s why I am going to run for a fourth term,” he said
Sununu says he’s spoken with many GOP senators about a possible run — and George W. Bush as well. Says the more he heard about being a senator, the less he wanted to do it

Messner faces NRSC-supported Don Bolduc in the GOP primary today to face Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH). (h/t @dylanewells)

New Hampshire issued split decision in '16, voting for Hillary Clinton & Sen. Maggie Hassan by fractions of a percent and electing GOP Gov. Chris Sununu.
Bolduc said in October that the NRSC "is in full support of my candidacy. But they can’t officially endorse me until the primary’s clear." Bolduc has met with NRSC staff and used its building for fundraisers. wmur.com/article/nh-pri…
