Over the next week I will be recapping my overall thoughts on what every team did in the 2022 #NFLDraft.

Today I will start with the NFC West and cover the @AZCardinals, @RamsNFL, @49ers and @Seahawks
the @AZCardinals recap

2 (55) TE Trey McBride
3 (87) EDGE Cam Thomas
3 (100) Edge Myjai Sanders
6 (201) RB Keaontay Ingram
6 (215) OG Lecitus Smith
7 (244) CB Christian Matthew
7 (256) LB Jesse Luketa
7 (257) OG Marquis Hayes

fav pick: Thomas
value pick: Luketa
? pick: McBride
draft haul has to include trading for M Brown giving them explosive speed WR they need with loss of Kirk & suspension of Nuk. I think they had more pressing needs than TE after giving Ertz a new 3 yr deal. Think Thomas can become starter & Luketa could have went early 4th

@giantswfan @Schmeelk @LanceMedow I think #Giants should play D. Smith (Eagles "stole" 😀) w/ very physical press coverage. I'm afraid Smith will have durability issue in NFL w/out bulking up. #Giantschat #NYG #NYGiants
Toney > Smith IMO because of versatility (WR, RB, QB, returner). I think Toney's game translates better into NFL. His footwork is game changing in both long AND short game. Smith doesn't have that dimension. Smith more acrobatic but I'll take incredible footwork over that in NFL.
Toney compliments the #Giants better than Smith would. He adds dimensions that Smith would not to team. Other teams will have to account for Toney like they must account for Barkely. That will be too much for Ds to handle giving other Giants playmakers opportunities.

I’ve continued reporting the last couple days regarding what happened with #NYGiants between Joe Judge and Marc Colombo, and why the firing came about. Here’s a thread on what I’ve been able to gather (1/5)
There was indeed an issue between Judge + Colombo on practice field centering on the coaching of Nick Gates. Judge wanted Gates to use a new technique and the old technique was still showing up. Judge worked with Gates to correct it, and Colombo didn’t appreciate it. (2/5)
Judge wanted a full rotation at OG and OT last week and talked all through prep about it. When that didn’t materialize to extent on game day as Judge would have liked, he was not pleased. (3/5)

Some takeaways from #NYGiants rookie camp on a thread ...

1. Daniel Jones impressed me with the juice on his throws, especially those into coverage. He was high a couple times on intermediate throws over the middle, but you can see his natural ability on the move.
2. Dexter Lawrence lined up at left end, nose guard and right end in odd fronts throughout team drills, and he didn't just look to overpower the offensive lineman in front of him. Probably smart. Show the coaches his bag of tricks early.
3. Deandre Baker uses physicality, and his technique is very clean. Not grabby. Just straight up looking to lock in and lock down. It's only one practice against guys who might not even be in the league, but ... there's a chance Baker has biggest impact of any NYG rookie in 2019.
