Die Lage rund um #Nagornokarabakh im Südkaukasus ist seit Wochenbeginn eskaliert.

1/ THREAD. It's fair to say I didn't imagine, sitting in London, that our US election videos would be so heavily shared in the last 10 days. So I thought I'd put them in one place. And also answer some qs I've had about Outside Source - and how we cover other stories.
2/ The first video came on the Thursday, 48 hours after election day. President Trump was claiming the election had been stolen and election observers were describing an 'abuse of office'. We tried to capture the point America had reached (in 45 seconds).
3/ That Saturday, Joe Biden was projected as the winner, Donald Trump was playing golf and, well, you probably know the rest. We attempted to record the moment in a 3'30 report. By the Tuesday morning, #FourSeasonsTotalLandscaping was trending in the UK.
#Nagorno-Karabakh: The ceasefire deal favors Azerbaijan and Russia, and less so Armenia. Here are my takeaways after examining the agreement (THREAD /6):
1. The complete ceasefire comes together with the withdrawal of Armenia from all Azeri territories controlled outside NK - Aghdam (until Nov. 20), Kelbajar region (until Nov. 15); Lachin region (until Dec. 1). The remaining territory (in red circle) is tiny compared to pre-war.
2. Russia comes into play. Its 1970 peacekeepers will be deployed for 5 years, with possible prolongation, in the remaining part of NK and the Lachin corridor (5 km wide). This also will include a “center” for peacekeepers that could be converted into a military base by Russia.
