I do not believe that my physical safety would have been in danger. They were definitely going to gang up on me to put me in a bad mental and emotional health situation.

There's no way Link didn't know about this because he's in the same chat, ImageImage
and he sent me these messages after that conversation.

The reason why I'm not tagging the white trans woman is, because she's a reporter and I don't want to give her any notoriety. Full transparency; I also forgot her Twitter handle.
Link was out there so hard for those white people (and a few non-white POC people) he was willing put a black person in danger.

I know that white trans woman personally and there's no way that conversation wouldn't have escalated.

Big news: yesterday it was revealed that Athens' own Claudio Saunt is a National Book Award Finalist. This is a HUGE deal no matter how modest Claudio is about it.
#avidevents @ClaudioSaunt (1/x)
2/ You can e-meet him on 10/22. He'll be in conversation with @WillsonCenter director Nicholas Allen, aka @dedalusdenaries
3/ UNWORTHY REPUBLIC is a masterful and unsettling history of “Indian Removal,” the forced migration of Native Americans across the Mississippi River in the 1830s, and the state-sponsored theft of their lands. #nativelivesmatter

Day 14 of Controversial Five Iron Frenzy Songs
The Day We Killed
Five Iron Frenzy 2: Electric Boogaloo

On the surface, this looks like #3 in FIF's #NativeLivesMatter discography but holy cow, this song is brutal. Micah, Dennis, and Reese write a song that cuts deeper anything b4
The death of Crazy Horse should be a remorseful moment in American history but it is really only a step that has continuously gotten worse. We are all guilty in it.
The other day I did a post about Psalm 14:4 which really fits here -- "Evildoers don't understand that they devour my people like they eat bread and wouldn't dream of praying to God." (My paraphrase.) On the heals of Giants yesterday, this song slices consumerism to shreds.

I made a mistake today. I watched the Aboriginal-themed documentary, "Utopia." While I understand that Australia has instituted a reconciliation action plan, I cannot visit that country. In 2012, things were 1000 times worse for those Black people than it was for us in...1/4
...the US. I have always believed that we cannot expect much progress in the #BlackLivesMatter movement unless we simultaneously address what is happening with our Indigenous people, both at home and abroad. The heinous crimes committed by white supremacists didn't begin...2/4
...with us, it began in 1492. White supremacists created and began perfecting their demonic tendencies of rape, murder, imprisonment, and genocide long before they kidnapped, subjugated, and enslaved our African ancestors. "Utopia" upset me so much, I was shaking with rage!! 3/4

Day 6 of Controversial Five Iron Frenzy Songs
Banner Year
Our Newest Album Ever, 1997

The second of #NativeLivesMatter songs in their discography. Flag worship, outright betrayal, and a Custer sighting. A piece of cloth can't hold your faith. RIP Black Kettle.
A banner year 1864, don't want the red man anymore,
Can't have them taking up good land.
Give them a token flag, trade pipes and shake some hands,
Tell them the white stripes stand for peace.
Say if they raise red white and blue,
Blue coats will never shoot at you,
But stripes will loose their sheen,
Black Kettle was their chief, he only wanted peace,
Under the flag... a massacre at Sand Creek.

The Amazon the largest lung in our world is on fire😭.
It's time for humanity to stop & think seriously about what it is doing🤨.
Is this our legacy for future generations😠?
Is money more important than conserving nature😡?

There is no "ngo" burning the #AmazonRainforest these are Cattle Ranchers, most of whom voted for #Bolsonaro. They're destroying the #Enviroment to steal #Indigenous land for themselves #NativeTwitter!#IndigenousRights #NativeLivesMatter
