On to #NetNeutraility What's at stake? Who do you want to control the "last mile" of internet infrastructure, the end of the pipe that connects the internet to you? Since the connection is often limited, it makes sense to treat the internet providers like public utilities.
I don't want Comcast to throttle the information I receive. It is that simple. 3.7 mill comments were lodged w the FCC in the 2 months preceding 9/15/14 in favor of changing the internet to a telecommunications service and, thus, regulation under the FEC. #NetNeutrality
This reclassification (from Title I to Title II) occurred on 2/26/2015. Of course, the telecom companies weren't happy. They sued...and lost...and still threaten to appeal to the Supreme Court...but perhaps they won't need to, thanks to Mr. T-rump. #NetNeutrality
