The provisional Government of the Azad Hind Fauj is formally established in Singapore on this date in 1943, with the inspiration of Netaji Subash Chandra Bose, having it's own currency, court and civil code.
Thread on the man who was the brains behind INA- Rash Behari Bose.
If Netaji came out in the fight as Garibaldi of the movement, Rash Behari’s part in the drama was more than that of a Mazzini”- Thakin Nu, ex-Prime Minister of Myanmar.
Rash Behari Bose for long was often overshadowed by his more famous namesake, though a legend in his own right.
There is a whole lot to Rash Behari Bose, one of the masterminds behind the plan to assassinate Lord Hardinge, the Viceroy, a key mover in the Ghadr conspiracy, meant to weaken the British army from inside, a master of camouflage.

" I am inclined, however, to think that in proportion to their numbers, and considering India as a whole, the Muslims have never ceased to play an important role in the public life
of the country, whether before or under British rule

(1/n).
-—and that the distinction between Hindu and Muslim of which we hear so much nowadays is largely an artificial creation,
a kind of Catholic—Protestant controversy in Ireland, in which our present-day rulers have had a hand.

(2/n).
History will bear me out when I say that it is a misnomer to talk of Muslim rule when describing the political order in India prior to the advent of the British.

Such was the charisma of #NetajiSubhashChandraBose that on his call, thousands of people volunteered to fight against the British Raj in no time. Many in the crowd would weep in the wake of his brilliant oratory, the fire of freedom lit in their hearts. ImageImage
2/ Among the many he inspired was 16-YO Saraswathy Rajamani.

When Bose tried to return the jewelry she had donated to her father, an indignant Rajamani replied, “They are not my father’s, they are mine. I gave them to you, & I will not take them back.”

3/ Colonel Nizamuddin -- A trusted aide of #NetajiSubhashChandraBose, he once took three bullets to save the charismatic leader of INA in the forests of erstwhile Burma. In fact, it was #Netaji who gave him the title of ‘Colonel’.

It’s a mystery that nobody knows clearly what happened to Netaji after 1945s purported plane crash, but 2 things are clear…
1)Netaji didn’t die on 18th August 1945.
2)NEHRU played a big big role in this.
What is clear
is that if Subhas Bose had returned to India, rather than either been killed in an air crash or gone permanently missing, he would have easily been the most popular leader in the country, and could quite possibly have displaced Mahatma Gandhi's favourite, Jawaharlal Nehru, from
the effective leadership of the Congress party and consequently the Prime Ministership. Given the fact that Netaji attracted both Muslims and Hindus to his fold in like manner, there is a high probability that a Bose-led Congress could have checkmated the plans of both Whitehall

The real hero, which was made to be a forgotten hero (missing from books)

Who did this and bigger question is that why they did this?

Britishers didn't run overnight and we're not scared of non violance

Please read complete thread and share

In reality they feared Netaji and his army

We were made to believe that we got independence without use of weapons

But this is white lie

Thousands of our countrymen died for this cause and their name was deleted from pages of history

But the impact of #Netaji was such

2/N...
That they could not delete his name, but they tried their best

Let's consider some questions first, I don't know whether these came to your mind or not

If Netaji was killed in plane crash in 1945 than why Govt of India was searching for him till 1967and even kept

#NetajiSubhashChandraBose born on this day in 1897 had no patience for communal politics. In his book "Indian Struggle" he criticises the Hindu Mahasabha. He writes:
(1/n) Image
“The Hindu Mahasabha, like its Moslem counterpart, consisted not only of erstwhile Nationalists, but also of a large number of men who were afraid of participating in a political movement and wanted a safer platform for themselves. (2/n)
The growth of sectarian movements among both Hindus and Moslems accentuated intercommunal tension. The opportunity was availed of by interested third parties who wanted to see the two communities fight, so that the Nationalist forces could be weakened.” (3/n)
