I'm increasingly seeing GOP-affiliated accounts showing up to defend the honor of the Gamergate-style dirtbag "left" brigaders and breathlessly push Greenwald-style whines about how very unfair everyone is being to Russia.

These are some pretty strong tells, fam.
There are varying degrees of complicity with Russian disinfo ops across the Grayzone/dirtbag "left."

Guys like Blumenthal are basically just Kremlin mouthpieces at this point.

A lot of the rest of them just seem too smug to consider that they might be getting used/manipulated.
There was a huge reliance on Gamergate-style brigading to push disinfo and silencing ops in 2016.

Many of the brigaders are bots, but in my experience a whole lot more are just angry misogynists looking for any excuse they can find to ragestroke in women's mentions.

1/5 Liberals frequently claim there was broad Black support for the vicious 1994 crime bill authored by vile segregationist #JoeBiden and vigorously enforced by TOP COP #KamalaHarris. Professor Michelle Alexander says that's "misleading at best".

#NeverBidenNeverTrump #KHIAC 👮‍♀️
2/5 Indeed, speaking on behalf of his constituents and supporters, the Rev. Jesse Jackson blasted the vile 1994 crime bill penned by #JoeBiden and enforced by #KamalaHarris. Jackson called it "Jim Crow, Esq."

3/5 As Attorney/Activist @MalaikaJabali recently pointed out, the NAACP framed the 1994 crime bill — that #JoeBiden wrote and #KamalaHarris enforced — as "draconian" and "a crime against the American people."

@JulieSmithM I don’t need to attend a virtual convention that’s really a coronation when the party refuses to seriously address a single issue in my top 5, but still demands my vote “because theyre not fascist.” Good sales job, DNC. I hear you loud & clear. #IndependentOnceAgain #NeverBiden
@JulieSmithM Maybe not demands, but virtue signaling & vote shaming are the two tools of a Biden Harris supporter. They certainly can’t point to record or policy.

@nick_brana In the video, I'm not making "an argument to continue reforming the Democratic Party." I'm arguing that a Trump 2nd term will likely cause more death/harm than Biden, & that Biden could even be pressured to cause less death/harm than he otherwise would, whereas Trump can't.
@nick_brana I also say that I think the Democratic neoliberal elite needs to be unseated. And that you could make a plausible argument for helping re-elect Trump -- aka #NeverBiden -- if you could prove that that considerably advances that goal. I don't think it does, see e.g. 2016-present.
@nick_brana I don't say anything in that segment against a #NewParty. I'm all for it. That takes a lot of work though. If you think helping re-elect Trump is a part of that work, I disagree. If Biden were in office I'd still very much advocate forming a new party.

{1/?}People have suffered and died because of Biden's history in office. All you "Trump ousters" basically care about is ending the suffering for yourselves. "Go back to normal" right? Normal still means
500,000 homeless; 1,500,000 empty homes
{2/?}Unlimited means of production; 40 million people starving.
One of the greatest economies in the world; half of Americans live paycheck to paycheck and are 1 $400 unexpected expense away from being homeless themselves.
A dying planet; large oil corporations pumping LIMITED
{3/?}resources without restrictions and destroying what little nature we have left.
A PANDEMIC where 30% of hard working Americans have been laid off; healthcare still attached to whether you have a job or not.
And let's not forget, SLIGHTLY less kids in cages.

#NeverBiden Isn’t “Privileged”, Supporting The Status Quo Is

" 'Privileged' is the word of the day, with liberal narrative managers using their massive platforms to shame and berate anyone who says they’re not going to vote for Joe Biden in November."

Most #NeverBiden people I see are POC or survivors of sexual assault. To my fellow white folk, please recognize the privilege that allows you to overlook Biden’s past of racism, ageism, sexism, homophobia, xenophobia, & aporophobia in order to vote for the "better" of two evils.
All conversations with #NeverBiden people should be held with respect, or honestly, not held at all. It is not the place of white folks to tell most of the #NeverBiden folks what they “should” do or not do with their vote, especially using a “for the good of others” argument.
When I was canvassing for Bernie, many of the communities I walked through were low income + predominately black. I explained Bernie's positions relating to the issues they said affect them and their families the most, and I told them that I think he's the best candidate.

Bernie Sanders' decision provides an opportunity for those in struggle to come to grips with reality of our politics.

Democratic Party elites mobilized with great fervor to crush Sanders' campaign, and their efforts greatly benefited from coronavirus pandemic.
Countless news reports show it was an anybody-but-Bernie primary. Democrats did not support Joe Biden until they needed to coalesce around him to cynically stop Bernie from getting near their party's nomination.
It's been clear for weeks Bernie Sanders couldn't win, but I believed there was some utility in staying in race. I still do. However, COVID-19 pandemic crystallized electability narrative manufactured by media pundits. Nothing over next months would alter its sway over voters.

Whenever I used to hear stuff like #DemExit or #NeverBiden, I thought these views were held by a frankly marginal slice of the electorate that doesn't have much impact. But I am finding myself increasingly sympathetic to those folks. That's a bad sign. I was raised in the party.
The Dem Party was the closest thing I had to a church. The walls of my parents home are covered with framed campaign posters of Carter, Humphrey, LBJ, Obama. I still believe the party can be an instrument of progress. So when I grow sympathetic to these folks, we have a problem.
I'm not giving up on the party. But I can understand why a lot of folks are. The last couple of months in particular have been jarring. When I saw Pelosi pushing a tax rebate for the ultra-rich during this crisis, I got sick to my stomach. Our party leaders need to wake up.

#COVID19 is going to change everything in unimaginable ways in the months and years to come.

I no longer take seriously any predictions about election, including Biden's inevitability.

The best political work to do now is directly responding to this crisis.

1/10
This pandemic like a slow motion 9/11.

That event was like a gunshot wound. Localized and instantaneous. We reacted horrifically.

#COVID19 is like getting diagnosed with cancer.

2/
We haven't even begun to feel the full effects of it, we certainly haven't begun treatment, hell we aren't even fully diagnosed.

If we survive, we will be fundamentally different.

Will we react as horrifically?

Why are we #NeverBiden? Google DNC Rigged 2016 & read. Court found DNC not guilty of stealing our money, time, hope because the DNC has a right to pick their nominee & we should've known it was a ruse. This is no joke. Nor is it democracy. The only leverage we have is our vote...
There is no "holding their feet to fire." Once we give them our vote, they're done with us. We have no leverage. We are powerless to get what we want. Because they got what they wanted. They got our vote...
Sanders owes no one and cannot be bought and that scares the hell out of the establishment where backroom deals and money changes hands in exchange for looser regulations and watered down benefits. The DNC fights him, Big Money fights him. They have everything to lose.

My #NeverBiden rant and final response to #BlueNoMatterWho

Like 45% of the country I'm neither a democrat or a republican.

As a leftist, voting blue has been a necessary evil because we're held hostage by a two party system.

1/16
I have liberal friends who agree with that assessment, and then wag a finger at me and say "But Trump!"

I've heard that for the entirety of my voting life when criticizing Dems:

"But Bush!"
"But Bush!"
"But McCain!"
"But the Tea Party!"
"But Romney!"
"But Trump!"

2/
Why is it those of us who are opposed to war, consider climate action to be inescapably urgent, and appalled by income inequality are always the ones who are asked to compromise?

A project I have decided to put together specifically for the so called moderate voter, the ones that somehow like the policies of Bernie Sanders, yet vote for Joe Biden because the media lied to them about Biden being electable in the general election #NotMeUs #BidenLosesToTrump
To be clear, I won't be voting for either Biden or Trump in the general election, they have both harmed far too many people with their policy decisions. #NeverBiden
We can start with the post second Super Tuesday coverage in the media, who managed to pull their head out of their ass just long enough to be like, oh, maybe all those young people aren't going to show up for Biden, which is correct.

In 2016 the vast majority of Sanders supporters voted for Clinton. We were blamed regardless of the numbers. Your internal polling proves his policies are popular yet you give us NO CONCESSIONS. You created plans that solve NOTHING and named them similarly to our proposals. 1/6
Now again in 2020 you pay lip service to us without adopting a single POLICY. You’re party smears US and our candidate with false narratives and fear mongering. The CORPORATE Dems fight the ECONOMIC progressives harder than they fight the RIGHT. But now... 2/6
We are told once again that we must ignore or principles and #VoteBlueNoMatterWho because TRUMP is an existential THREAT. Not realizing that BIDEN is just as big a threat to US. He believes in NOTHING and fights for no one but your DONERS... we have the RECEIPTS. 3/6

We looked at the last six months of tweets containing the various #Never<candidate> hashtags, limited to the eight Democratic candidates still in the race. #NeverBernie was the most frequently used, followed by #NeverWarren, #NeverBiden, and #NeverPete.

cc: @ZellaQuixote
@ZellaQuixote Usage of #Never<Candidate> hashtags increased sharply in the opening weeks of 2020. #NeverWarren, #NeverBernie, and #NeverBloomberg have each experienced boosts or spikes in volume tied to specific events during that time (further info in figure.)
@ZellaQuixote Who's using the #Never<candidate> hashtags? The retweet network for recent tweets is comprised mostly of obscure accounts (not candidates/journalists etc) and breaks down into 3 clusters:

• right-wing accounts
• pro-Sanders left-wing accounts
• anti-Sanders left-wing accounts

Back in March 2018 we reversed engineered / identified just over 250 Twitter accnts of the 600 Russian influencer accts monitored by the German Marshall Fund at the #Hamilton68 dashboard. Over time we expanede this list and broke them into subcatgories dashboard.securingdemocracy.org Image
Without giving away too much part of the reverse engineering involved an oversight in how the @SecureDemocracy dashboard displayed its trending data. We reverse engineered enough accounts as seed accounts to then grow out the set over time. We are completely independent of @gmfus ImageImage
Fast forward to 2day. We looked at the discussion of candidates within the Kremlin-aligned #Hamilton68 subset of accnts most focused on Russian Geopolitics. This wordcloud in first week of Feb. shows positive support to Bernie Sanders #Bernie2020 #elections2020 #nvcaucus Image

The “you should vote for Trump” response from @JoeBiden, viewed one way, was immature and defensive. Viewed another, it’s a taunt, a reminder to oppressed people that they live in a two-party system in which they often have no real electoral options.
Part of the reason I think advocacy against the #VoteBlueNoMatterWho mindset is so important is the sentiment conveyed in @JoeBiden’s comments to @CosechaMovement (“be thankful for the crumbs we give you and vote for us or you’ll be even more screwed with the GOP in power”).
When @TheDemocrats know that, at the end of the day, progressives will fall in line behind them out of fear of the Republicans, what incentive do they have to pursue progressive policy? None. Our support for politicians *must* be conditional if we are to have any leverage.
