“From 2016 to 2023, all of the money voted and budgeted for Nigeria Air is N5 billion. But all that was released was in the neighbourhood of N3 billion, not N85 billion, and not all of the N3 billion has been expended as of the time I left office."
"What has been done with the money is nothing but to get special advisory services, the AOC processes, salaries, consultive services, and the maintenance of the office in Abuja. No contract was awarded by Hadi Sirika. These are the things the money was used for."
"And there is the Freedom of Information Act. People can apply and get all the information about what the money has been used for. The N85 billion being mentioned is only in the imagination of the people carrying it about.”

Surely, They Do Not Know What They Are Saying ...

📌 They say the Aircraft belongs to Ethiopian Airline.

Well, Ethiopian Airline has majority ownership of Nigeria Air (49%). Nigeria Air is one of its subsidiaries. So why not? What is the issue there?
📌 They say it is an "old aircraft". Then they say the aircraft is 10 years old.

I ask: How is a 10 year old aircraft an "old aircraft"? What is the lifetime of an average Boeing aircraft? It has a lifespan of around 35 years or 90,000 flight hours. So what are they saying?
📌 They say why a small country like Ethiopia & Ethiopian Airline?

I laugh. It is not by size. Ethiopian Airline is 77 years in operation this year. How old is Nigeria as a nation itself? It is not an excuse, but it is the truth.
So what is their point?

Maybe this Operational Control Center for Nigeria Air was set up overnight right inside the Abuja airport as part of the 419 by Hadi Sirika & Buhari.
Just like @hadisirika called Ethiopian Air overnight and they painted an aircraft & sent over to Nigeria.
Every day, I look at some Nigerians & I pity Nigeria & the serious patriotic Nigerians among us.

I pray for Tinubu and any one who will lead Nigeria after him. Tinubu should be particularly wary of ex and vex-Buharists.
The problem with Nigeria is Nigerians. A mixture of willful ignorance, unbridled mischief and lack of patriotism.

Buhari has done his bit and the judgement of posterity awaits him as it awaits all of us.

President Obasanjo once called maintaining Nigeria Airways (NAL) irresponsible. Six years later, one of his successors, despite a petition from former NAL employees appealing for ₦45 billion in severance pay, is shopping the world for an investor for a proposed national carrier.
Between a ferocious fight over revenue sharing, and ignoring the obvious on Boko Haram, bad ideas seem to die slowly, such that it has almost obscured the recognition Nigeria’s music industry got from the world’s largest music label.
The latest #BokoHaram attacks don't suggest a resurgence of the group so much as they demonstrate its resilience, capacity for strategic hibernation and stealth.

They also indicate that the financing with which it procures weapons and its recruitment remain largely uninhibited.
