1/ the human brain is really good at “normalizing” colors in a scene given context clues. ie the spectral wavelength that hits your eye may be remapped you a different color in your perception. See Adelson’s illusion:
2/ the challenge is that photos remove viewers from spatial and illumination context. You ever look at an unflattering picture and think “why am I so blue/yellow/red/etc?” Lights IRL are tinted, and your brain normalizes it for you. The camera records the actual tint though.

Obviamente, tener una buena cámara ayuda, pero es mucho más importante el ojo y el trabajo de edición posterior. Uno de mis mejores amigos, un gran fotógrafo que me enseñó un montón, siempre me decía, las grandes fotos se toman al hacer click, el resto sólo sirve para adornarlas.
A mí lo que más me gusta tomar son fotos de paisaje, pero siempre busco que tengan algo distinto, porque para tener fotos de postal pues mejor comprar una postal. Por eso me suele gustar tener a una o varias personas en el encuadre, en general sin que sepan que aparecen.

2/ Fellow runners: let’s agree that in these conditions it makes no more sense to run your usual rounds in the “Royal Park”. Authorities clearly closed the “benches”, so it makes no sense to run so near to each other + cross in opposite directions. Entire @CityBrussels is yours!

Study was powered based a 25-year-old data showing a 9% risk of PE in patients with *no* DVT prophylaxis. But, advances in trauma care, pneumatic compression devices, & initiation of chemical prophylaxis ASAP have reduced this rate, leaving the study underpowered (2/7).
The primary endpoint is a composite of death or symptomatic PE. Since PE is uncommon & most deaths aren’t due to PE, the composite endpoint is overall driven simply by death. As would be expected, there is no difference (3/7).

Ma première réelle expérience d'enseignement était le monitorat (enfin, ma "mission doctorale d'enseignement") pendant ma thèse. Avant ça j'avais informellement encadré quelques projets d'étudiants de L3 pendant mon M2 mais c'est tout.
Pour mon monitorat j'étais affecté à Polytech'UPMC (@ParisUpmc).
La première année j'ai donné des TPs de programmation en C au premier semestre aux étudiant·e·s de la filière EI2I (polytech.upmc.fr/fr/formation/e…). Ça m'a beaucoup plu !
