Let's be clear: ensuring our communities and our clean air and water are protected is not a trade chip. Should a bill come forward that includes changes that would weaken reviews of impacts to communities & the environment, we'll fight like hell against it.
Right now, Congress must focus on passing the Inflation Reduction Act as soon as possible. This bill includes key investments to tackle the climate crisis, invest in clean energy, create jobs, & safeguard communities. We can't wait any longer for this critical legislation.

1⃣ The expansion of fossil fuels does NOT "put the nation's energy reliability and security at risk". A rapid transition to clean energy = true energy independence where we are no longer reliant on foreign energy markets and regimes.

Morning! We’ve got great turnout today at the VA DEQ board meeting in support of the people of Charles City, who are opposing the construction of a fracked gas power plant. 
Today’s meeting is held at a private country club next to a gated community on the north side of Richmond. Not ideal for public engagement and not great for the people of Charles City who traveled to be here today.
Shoutout to all the #NoACP and #NoMVP organizers who are here today. I see members of @NO_ACP, @vahealers, @GreenNewDealVA, Mothers Out Front, Interfaith Alliance for Climate Justice, certainly more.
