Bravo @ChrisHartline.

The proponents of this bill have a history of engaging in dirty & dishonest tactics in their attempt to change US immigration law to benefit visa workers from one country at the expense of US workers & other immigrant groups. #NoS386 #NoHR1044
Thread on how proponents of HR1044/S386 are lying in their attempts to attack @SenRickScott’s block on the bill:
Asking for a carveout of 18,000 green cards for those groups is not the same as "Rick Scott is harming immigrants because he wants to bring 18,000 Chinese in the middle of a COVID crisis."

Kapish?

Tim Cook: "In exchange for these 100,000 masks that we are sending your way Mike, you need to make sure you get that bill "The Fairness For High Skilled Immigrants Act" passed soon. We need to entice more cheaper foreign labor via H-1B visas to come here."

Remember folks - do not buy into the generosity of some of these billionaires. They all want something in return. When the dust settles, they will all be back to lobbying the government asking to return the favor in passing legislation that increases their bottom line.

#Alert After vetting the rumors, it’s seems that Sen. Mike Lee is going to attempt bringing bill S.386 (India/Big Tech green card giveaway bill) for a UC vote next week based on leaked sources. We will be working to stop this, but please call your Senators in DC as well. #NoS386
Lee will add the following provisions to the bill:
1) Provide early provision filing for EAD cards for those who have an approved I-140 petition for at least 2 years.
2) 3 year delay for the 50/50 rule that bars companies for applying for more H1Bs that are H1B dependent.
The net result would still be MORE immigration numbers due to the early provision filing for EAD cards. This will create a venue for OPT, J1, TN visa workers to a permanent fast track work status to applying for immediate GCs & taking advantage of getting a provisional EAD.

At a recent town hall event in #Utah, @SenMikeLee tries to explain a major immigration bill, S.386, to his constituents. He has refused a public hearing on the bill, & continues to misrepresent the FACTS about what this bill does. #NoS386
We have debunked a lot of Sen. Lee’s false talking points stated in this video, on this thread:
Why is Sen. Mike Lee pushing bill S.386 so hard & adamant of passing it without any hearings? Follow the money:

Another false propaganda piece pushing @SenMikeLee's bill, S. 386.

"Utah tech companies have thousands of open jobs and can’t find the talent to fill them."

In a market economy, there are NO long-term labor shortages.

“...Silicon Slopes and for the movement to bring high skilled immigrant labor into the United States and especially into Utah where our economy benefits so much from the skills these people can bring...”

Apparently, American grads lack "skills" that only Indians on H-1Bs have.
.@SenMikeLee keeps pushing the lie that country cap quotas discriminate those from high population countries. First off, India takes the larger share of employment green cards each year (avg. 25%, not 7%). Second, this has ZERO to do with population size, & more to do with ...

reorganizing the #tamu #cognizant irony (see fig.1) posted yesterday night for better readability, American ppl deserve to know what the outsourcing companies are doing to their jobs before #s386 is sneaked in by @SenMikeLee . #s386 is SIMPLY UNAMERICAN! #nos386 #reliefact
Now all #s386 supporters who refuse public hearing, give a proper reason why #cognizant is preferring ppl from 1000 ranked oversea schools over US top engr universities like #tamu. If it happens for #tamu, it can happen to #harvard #mit #yale once #s386 passed. #NoS386!!!
For short, outsourcing companies would rather hire anyone than smart native American grads! And senate is acting as a rubber stamped for their interests? #s386 MUST BE STOPPED!!!#NoS386 @SenatorDurbin @SenHawleyPress @SenatorRounds @MarshaBlackburn @SenGillibrand @ChuckGrassley

Thread: "What caused the employment based green card backlog for just one country - India?"
#NoS386 #H1BAbuse #Immigration #Congress
1/ The H-1B visa program, established under the Immigration Act of 1990, was originally intended to bring foreign nationals with highly specialized and/or uncommon skills to perform specific work for a 'temporary' duration in the United States.
2/ However, this visa program has since been transformed into a conduit for the mass migration of workers who are merely run-of-the-mill/entry-level workers with nothing more than a foreign bachelor’s degree, and are actually displacing Americans from jobs.
