The worldbuilding in this #NoughtsAndCrosses BBC show just falls apart at first prod. Very scattershot and no consistency in the flipping of racial histories & the impact of that. I'm not sure if the issue is from the source novel or the adaptation, but it's def deficient.
For instance, with Albion being an African Colony of majority Black folk, the colonized underclass white folk there would be pressured into speaking like Africans in order to be understood. Colonialism 101. Yet everyone in the show has a British accent or a faux-Nigerian one.
