It is in public knowledge that registration and licensure for Internationally Educated Nurses IENs in Canada is a tedious and difficult process with several bottlenecks.
This has led some provinces to start rethinking the process and find a way to streamline it so that it becomes seamless for applicants. Also, to ensure that IENs in Canada can function to the full extent of their education and competencies.

I'm in the ER right now after experiencing vertigo yesterday and again this morning. I literally diagnosed myself because I graduated from WebMD medical school, but I came to make sure there wasn't anything more serious.
They told me it's likely positional vertigo, and they drew a bunch of blood and gave me a banana bag for dehydration. So I'm sitting here waiting for the iv to finish and there is a man in the other room calling everyone "fucking niggers" and demanding a white nurse.
After ten minutes of listening to him repeatedly say nigger, I was ready to rip the iv out and just leave, cause seriously?

Aeromedical evacuation of sick patients is a logistically complicated task. My direct experience is is slightly over 2 decades and involves pediatric fixed wing, rotor, and ground critical care transport. TO be clear I have performed this level of large scale evac.
Rotor wing transport is ideal in certain circumstances. It is relatively quick and can operate from point to point. ITs disadvantage is that it is unpresurized, has more weather and weight restrictions. The US Military has a robust Casualty evacuation (CASEVAC) or dustoff

received threats from public and discouraged by state officials. Our state has 54% vaccination rate and #masks are optional with very few wearing. The only time our state imposed a #MaskingMandate is when our #hospitals were beyond capacity & Governor & other officials wanted 2/
#nurses to work when #COVID positive if no or mild symptoms. The #ND #Nursing association stepped in & pushed back thus leading Governor to take steps one ☝🏼 of which was #MaskMandate. That lasted relatively shortly & now in #NorthDakota very little precautions taken. 3/

I know the controversy of this piece seems to be on nurse to patient ratios (which lets be honest have worked well in CA, with the highest patient outcomes in the country in healthcare), but let’s not miss what was said: Today there are MORE NURSES in the US than ever in HISTORY!
