I am Bewildered by both cumulative sleep deprivation and the Resistance of DME Providers to Even Try to make the claim for a Replacement of this Terribly Designed CPAP Nightmare Scenario. Millions of Sleep Deprived Sufferers of #OSA stop breathing at night.
It’s Bad. Way bad 😱
My Dentist 🦷 assessed my TMJ clicking. I woke up in the night, ripped out my bite guard and started chewing my thumb. He asked if I was on CPAP. Why, yes, I said, but Phillips recalled and I can’t get a new one. He said I deoxygenated and wake up biting. Dental reflects Mental 😫
Coincidentally, I’m using @ouraring to monitor sleep and activity, HRV,HR, and more. Off CPAP sleeping way below needs. But of course, Patient information is anecdotal, Or Not?? Using @Apollo_Neuro device is designed by Neuroscientists. Have Yours yet @dagenmcdowell ?

Does labour epidural analgesia cause #autism? Probably not (but only an RCT can answer this question). A thread @CASUpdate @APSForg @OttawaHospital @OttAnesthesia @ASALifeline @SOAPHQ @glbryson @Ron_George @antonchau1 @DrLucieFilteau @Dolores_McKeen @EMARIANOMD @IARS_Journals
2/n A #bigdata study finds an association between labor epidurals and subsequent #autism in offspring.
Concerning? Yes.
Will lead to much concern for women, their partners and clinicians? Yes
Robust, clinically relevant findings? Probably not
3/n We always need to be careful interpreting observational studies of treatments, ESPECIALLY if they are retrospective and based on routinely collected data.
Why? Because data may be inaccurate and all important variables may not be measureable.

Let's #UnPack (some facts) before we #FlyAgain. Lots of threads lately about if it is #Safe2Fly & how to #FlySafe. Here are a couple with really good information.
This article by @ernstkc & @BeamerPaloma provides good guidance to #MinimizeRisks. Great ideas for #HandHygiene while travelling, pick a #WindowSeat to minimize 6' sphere exposure, beware of neighbors #droplets. theconversation.com/should-you-fly…
@j_g_allen does a great job explaining hierarch of control to reduce risks, encouraging masks, discusses other risks besides the flight while traveling. Importantly, encourages airlines to deploy gate #ventilation since ventilation is poor at taxi & gate. washingtonpost.com/opinions/2020/…
