[Thread] We are increasingly concerned by the cruel and inhumane treatment of immigrants and refugees in the U.S., the camps in which they are concentrated and caged, and reports of people dying while in the custody of ICE. It’s time to take action.
Advocates report deeply disturbing conditions:

• People detained in outdoor cages,
• Children deprived of food,
• Babies denied medical care,
• Families held in military camps,
• Lawyers and observers denied entry

It’s up to us to stop this.
Worse: Amid countless stories of abuses in these camps, @KenKlippenstein learned that ICE recently stopped reporting deaths of detainees. We must speak out against this disturbing pattern of disregard for the lives of immigrants — and demand accountability

Many tents have been set up around the building.
