Wenn im @WarOnTheRocks-Podcast gesagt wird, dass das russische #Militär früher als eigentlich geplant in die #Offensive gegangen ist, dann klingt das erstmal sehr abstrakt.
Aber Videos wie hier⬇️ sehen wir gut, welche entscheidende Auswirkungen das hat!

Aber Videos wie hier⬇️ sehen wir gut, welche entscheidende Auswirkungen das hat!
Während bereits viel über den Mangel an Gerät & Munition auch auf russischer Seite gesprochen wurde, bleibt oft ein Aspekt unberührt: es ist Winter - und auch für die Infanterie, insb. wenn sie ohne Panzerunterstützung angreifen muss, ist das fatal! Natürliche Tarnung fehlt! 
Wie auf diesen Bildern wunderbar zu sehen, kann die russische Infanterie bereits frühzeitig aufgeklärt werden - und wird dann mit Steilfeuer, also Artillerie und Mörsern bekämpft, bevor überhaupt der Angriff beginnt. Und DA kommt dann das zweite Problem, es fehlt auch Deckung!

1) Adversarial malware - use AI to generate evasive malware samples. A lot of publications here. I assume some AI-powered packers might appear in the next 2 to 4 years. Good starting point if you want to dig deeper here is this library by @zangobot: github.com/pralab/secml_m…
2) Another branch of research is using **generative** models for some offensive needs like (a) ML-powered fuzzing, e.g. arxiv.org/abs/1908.01262, but search for more work, (b) password list generators, e.g. arxiv.org/abs/1709.00440, (c) C&C needs (bwall.github.io/markov-chains-…).
