In the last 5 years, and most especially last year 2020, we saw a rapt growth of online teaching which has both benefited the students, course creators, and of course the software/platforms used in creating these
online training courses.

Take for instance, based on the Online Learning Growth Statistics, Chart, and Rate by SaaSprout, it was disclosed that “One-third of the learners that ever registered on a MOOC platform joined in 2020 which majorly was due to the pandemic.
MOOC providers, in particular, benefited immensely by attracting many learners with their free online courses from top universities”.

Going on, we also saw that “Based on findings from a pair of Pew Research Center surveys conducted in spring 2011, nearly two-thirds of college

Meet 6yr old Saraswathi. She travels 5kms everyday to attend online classes- as there is no cell phone tower in her tribal hamlet in Morriguda of Mancherial district of #Telangana. Once she reaches signal area, she sits under a tree at a culvert to study ❤️❤️❤️ #OnlineClass #Covid
She has been doing this everyday since regular classes were suspended. We have seen stories of how education got disrupted. But this tribal family is determined to keep the education going. Kudos to Saraswathi and her family 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 #OnlineClasses #EducationMatters #Telangana
I edited the video just to show how much effort is required for the education to continue in tribal villages where basic infra is still non existent.

#onlineclasses was just one of a number of demands @UCUHallam made of @sheffhallamuni but we have more. 👇

1) campus MUST be made safe for essential #f2f classes. It FAILED our H&S inspections. We've reported breaches to @H_S_E #CampusCovid 1/
2) provide clarity and consistency for Sem2 teaching. Flipflopping each week increases staff & student anxiety/confusion and improves NOTHING #MoveOnline #StayOnline 2/
3) stop #workload intensification. Staff are on their knees. How can we plan/teach online+f2f+both simultaneously, hold smaller classes, provide 1-2-1 support, drop-ins. We were exhausted by extra workload BEFORE #Covid. This is unsustainable. Something has to give! 3/

When this podcast was recorded, earlier this year, I didn't have much online teaching experience. I speculated that I would miss being able to scan the room to assess where students were at with a particular task. 1/

And I do miss that. I miss seeing whether they're with me, or preoccupied with something else (e.g., a big assignment in another course, their snack time, or that time of the year when a class coincides with the opening of their registration window for summer courses), . . . 2/
. . . or overwhelmed by the complexity of what I'm asking them to do, or in need of a nudge to actually dig in their bag to find a pen or open the right window to work in the app we're using or move seats so they can in fact see or hear what their teammates are doing. 3/

🔔 What is Spiritual Research ?

When one wants to research the subtle-world, one cannot use conventional measurement and analysis tools.

Just as we cannot use a measuring tape to measure one’s weight, so also we cannot use physical, psychological or intellectual methods to understand or explore the spiritual realm.

Absolutely crazy on part of schools and college mgmts to force online classes on the kidz especially the primaries. What exactly is their agenda/priority, the institution survival or the future of kidz. Forget the fees, kidz are facing hell lot of health issues

#OnlineClasses
Not so long ago, the mgmt of institutions used to curse upon the parents for the children's addiction to gadgets and ironical, now, that they are forcing the parents to make the children sit in &l gaze on, for hours. Blinking of eyes takes care of the eyes. But, itz not so now 🤔
Psychiatry, Eye specialists and pediatricians are saying, they are flooded with innumerable cases of children's ill-health, headaches, short sight problems, nausea and so on. Is it a boon or a curse now. Can the institutions enlighten. Will appreciate.

2 / She doesn't even know what online classroom is.
I couldn't help by wonder how unfair this is, seeing how the wave of online classes continue to grow for primary and secondary schools even campuses. Yet not all students are able to access the internet.
3/ So I set out to collect data from anyone who would want to help air out their views. This was also limited as it was an online form where only those who can access the internet could fill it.
Got 132 Responses.
