Here in the UK it's Organ Donation week. As this year my wife and my sister-in-law were both recipients of life saving transplants (kidney and stem cell respectively), I thought I'd say a quick few things...
In the UK the law changed this year to an Opt-Out system regarding organ donation after you die with the hope of increasing the number of organs that can be donated from deceased donors.
Although good progress, this doesn't replace signing up as an organ donor as the best way to make your intentions clear and make sure you can save lives should you pass away.
Its #OrganDonationWeek this week and we're promoting through virtual platforms a run/ride/hike/swim/whatever in the shape of an organ - here's mine. I also decided the pass the time on the bike with a VLOG, talking about deemed consent in England 👇[Thread]
