Wissenschaftler haben Anfang März in GISAID (Datenbank zum Teilen von Virussequenzen) neue Einträge gefunden, die vom Huanan Markt/Wuhan stammen. Dabei handelte es sich um Rohdaten, also nicht nur um bereinigte Sequenzen des Virus, sondern alles, was man in den Umweltproben war
Diese Daten gehören zu einem chinesischen Preprint, der zur Schlussfolgerung kam, dass das Virus von Menschen auf den Markt eingebracht wurde. Man vermutete bereits, dass in den Daten mehr zu finden sein muss, die Rohdaten waren aber bisher nicht zugänglich
