@pabsgill Public sector banks are always anxious in March as the financial year draws to a close. It's not uncommon for the management to ask employees to pull a few extra hours at work. However, this year, some public sector bank employees may be working all 31 days of the month.
@pabsgill On the one hand, the Indian government has issued an order asking banks to double the disbursements given out under the #PMSVANidhi scheme. And, on the other, the banks have their own internal targets to meet when it comes to agricultural loans, #MSME credit and other aspects.

Reviewed along with Secretary, DFS progress of #PMSVANidhi Scheme in Uttar Pradesh yesterday with State Nodal Officer, Municipal Commissioners, State/ Regional level officers of the Banks/ Lending Institutions.
In UP, over 4 lakhs applications have been submitted; out of which over 1.6 lakhs sanctioned & around 16K disbursed.

Had an interactive discussion with street vendors at the @NasviIndia Eastern & North Eastern Virtual Conference today. Street vendors constitute an important segment of the informal economy in cities & COVID-19 has given a major blow to their businesses.
In order to facilitate restart of their business MoHUA has launched #PMSVANidhi Scheme for collateral free micro-credit facility on June 1, 2020. It will benefit around 50 lakh Street Vendors from urban/ rural areas working in cities.
#PMSVANidhi is focussing on bringing these informal nano entrepreneurs into the mainstream digital economy by incentivising digital payments. They will be provided an enabling environment free from any kind of harassment.
Happy to launch the PM Street VendorтАЩs AtmaNirbhar Nidhi #PMSVANidhi online Dashboard today through video conferencing. As we make rapid progress towards Digital & #AtmaNirbharBharat, this Dashboard will act as a one stop solution for all stakeholders of the Scheme.
Dashboard is dynamic, interactive & will provide every single information related to tracking, monitoring & progress of #PMSVANidhi up to the city level. This is another huge leap in the ladder of the scheme as we add this Dashboard to other mobile Apps, Portal launched before.
Also delighted that @swiggy_in has agreed to pilot in aggregating the demand and providing logistic support to food vendors. Swiggy will take orders from customers for the street vendors & will provide supply chain for delivery of prepared food.
#PMSVANidhi is getting implemented with rapid pace on the ground under #AtmaNirbharBharat Abhiyan. With the aim to provide working capital loans to street vendors to restart their businesses after the Covid-19 lockdown, we have already received more than 6.68+ lakhs.
We have also sanctioned 1.52+ lakhs applications so far.

Had detailed discussion with Central Nodal Officers (CNOs) of States/UTs regarding implementation of #PMSVANidhi Scheme on-ground. In this 2nd round discussions today, we deliberated on the progress made in the selected ULBs since the last meeting held on 21 July 2020.
It is encouraging to witness the proactive engagement of CNOs appointed by DoPT for saturation of #PMSVANidhi in these ULBs. We emphasised on holistic economic upliftment of street vendors whose livelihoods were affected due to the COVID-19 lockdown.

During our meeting, we focused not only on addressing the specific issues of LIs pertaining to the Scheme, but also inviting suggestions & recommendations to work in a collaborative manner for the overall benefit of urban street vendors in the country.
We discussed simplifying the documentation process for availing loans. Engagement of Banking Business Correspondents by Banks to bring microcredit facility at the door steps of street vendors will be helpful in reaching out to maximum number of beneficiaries.

Delighted to launch Mobile App of PM Street VendorтАЩs AtmaNirbhar Nidhi, #PMSVANidhi Scheme today. This App will provide user friendly digital interface for Lending Institutions & their field functionaries for sourcing & processing loan applications of street vendors.
#PMSVANidhi was launched on June 1, 2020 for providing affordable Working Capital loan to street vendors to resume their livelihoods affected due to lockdown. It will benefit over 50 lakhs Urban Street Vendors across India from urban or surrounding peri-urban/rural areas.
Ministry launched Web Portal on 2 July for end-to-end implementation of Scheme. This App has all the functionalities of #PMSVANidhi Web Portal with feature of easy portability. It facilitates vendor search against survey data, application processing, e-KYC & real time monitoring.

My Ministry has held detailed discussion with various lenders like Banks, MFIs, NBFCs & SHG Banks. Based on their suggestions, Ministry has prepared detailed operational guidelines for the lenders, which have been issued today.

Delighted to witness signing of Memorandum of Understanding between my Ministry and @sidbiofficial. SIDBI is implementation Agency for PM Street VendorтАЩs AtmaNirbhar Nidhi (#PMSVANidhi) - a Scheme for Micro-Credit Facility for the Street Vendors.
SIDBI will manage credit guarantees to lending institutions through Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGTMSE). An IT platform & Mobile App is being developed by SIDBI for end-to-end solution, documentation of processes & workflow.
This will ensure engagement and information flow between Urban Local Bodies (ULBs), Lending Institutions, Digital Payment Aggregators and other stakeholders. It will leverage the network of lending Institutions for the effective implementation of the Scheme.
