I am incredibly proud of Prof @IdiaIzeIyamu's smart and passionate articulation of the #POISIMPLEAGENDA in her interview on ARISE TV, especially on the specific plans to improve healthcare and empower women, which are unsurprisingly her first constituencies/
@Idiaizeiyamu /as a foremost health professional with decades of experience.

Prof. Idia has been on the road for weeks, interacting with our women and learning first-hand the inhumane treatment they have been subjected to by the present government.
Like most Edo women, she is displeased with the present state of things. She is displeased that the government has chosen to imprison our women over harsh fines and stringent bail conditions, instead of committing resources to empower them and provide them with conducive markets/

Yesterday, I was honored with another honorary title as the Chief Okhumaivior of the South East Uneme clan in Etsako East LG by the Oliola of Uzanu, HRH Benjamin Ikani, alongside my running mate, Mallam Gani Audu, and our former Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.
We were also at the palace of the Onweweko of Okpekpe, HRH Peter Osigbemeh, who offered prayers and blessings.
My administration will repair and restore the relationship between the state government, traditional rulers and other community-based leadership to form a functional partnership that will aid improvement of security and the formulation of relevant policies focused/

Yesterday in Ozalla and other agrarian communities in Owan West/East, I listened with great concern as farmers took turns to lament govt neglect and deny claims that they benefited from the CBN N5b loan and other
support funds secured by the Edo state govt/
/to ensure food security and
protect farmers from the economic effects of COVID-19.

Their denial is consistent with the complaints of other farmers across the three senatorial districts of Edo State, some of whom staged a protest in Abuja in July, demanding a probe of the/
/Edo State Government over its questionable and non-transparent management of these funds.

You can read about the protest here: thenationonlineng.net/edo-farmers-se…

Earlier today, I was given an honorary title as the ‘Oyakhire of Ora clan’ by the Okpojenaga of Ora in recognition of my past achievements in government and my commitment to service.
The Oyakhire title, meaning the ‘one who has come to wipe our tears’, is both a mark of honor and a powerful message of hope.
The past 4 years have been bad for our people across the state & they are investing their trust in me – & the APC - to wipe away their tears & return the state back on the path of growth & development with a responsible, competent, and humane govt. I will not betray their trust.

We kicked off our ward-to-ward campaign today in my homeplace, Orhiomwon local Council Area, with a visit to the Enogie of Ugo -Niyekorhiomwon, HRH, Ogierhiakhi Ogiugu, who is also the Chairman of Enigie, Orhionmwon. #EdoMustMoveForward #POISIMPLEAGENDA #EdoForAPC #POIGANI
I was touched by the massive display of love and support from the people who spoke in very clear terms that the APC will record a 100 percent victory across all the wards in Orhiomwon LG.
I am grateful to our traditional fathers, the leaders of our party, including former Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and his Deputy, Dr. Pius Odubu, who is also a prominent son of Orhiomwon, and everyone else for the show of support.

Edo2020: International Film Village Coming for Edo

Arts and culture in Edo is a catalyst that should be exploited by the government to stimulate the tourism, hospitality, transport and entertainment sectors of the economy in a manner that can create jobs for the youths.

The people of Owan West, and indeed the whole of Edo Central, came out in unbelievable numbers to demonstrate their love and support for the All Progressives Congress, APC, and the #POIGANI ticket. #EdoMustMoveForward #POISIMPLEAGENDA #EdoForAPC
Previously, I’ve heard some people say “APC will win Edo South and Edo North, but Edo Central, I am not sure.”

However, I am confident that with the number we pulled, organically, in Igueben, Ubiaja, Irrua, and Ekpoma, despite our best attempts to restrict attendance/
/in compliance with safety regulations, all doubts and questions on our ability to win Edo Central have been erased and sufficiently answered.

Our people have seen through the lies of the “Esan Agenda” being promoted by those on the other side.

We were at the palace of our father, the Ojirua of Irrua, HRH Williams Okuagban Momodu II, and he not only gave his blessings, he endorsed me as the next Governor of Edo State. #POISIMPLEAGENDA #EdoMustMoveForward #EdoForAPC #POIGANI
In his words, “I welcome you, my Governor. Your visit here is just to further familiarize yourself with our people as have already been chosen.”
“Not too long ago, I watched on television as the President handed over the party’s flag to you. I wasn’t there but what I did in my house was to clap my hands.”

A few days in ago in Abuja, I met an industrious young Edo woman operating a growing food franchise with three openings already in Lagos State which, altogether, gainfully employ over a hundred persons.
Seeing how expansion into Edo State could provide similar employment opportunities for our youths and deliver an important service to our people, I queried why she hasn’t brought some of the investments home.
In response, she cited a challenge I’ve heard in my interactions with a lot of Edo people across the country and in the diaspora in the last four years: INSECURITY.

Many of them are willing to come home with their investments but do not want to fall victims to kidnapping and/
