Back in March 2018 we reversed engineered / identified just over 250 Twitter accnts of the 600 Russian influencer accts monitored by the German Marshall Fund at the #Hamilton68 dashboard. Over time we expanede this list and broke them into subcatgories dashboard.securingdemocracy.org Image
Without giving away too much part of the reverse engineering involved an oversight in how the @SecureDemocracy dashboard displayed its trending data. We reverse engineered enough accounts as seed accounts to then grow out the set over time. We are completely independent of @gmfus ImageImage
Fast forward to 2day. We looked at the discussion of candidates within the Kremlin-aligned #Hamilton68 subset of accnts most focused on Russian Geopolitics. This wordcloud in first week of Feb. shows positive support to Bernie Sanders #Bernie2020 #elections2020 #nvcaucus Image

Something I will legitimately never understand. why attack another candidate? You could use,the time and effort to volunteer, fund raise or canvas. you would, rather spend your time on a social media. platform bullying other people. Yes it does qualify as bullying.
Just donā€™t get this I literally donā€™t.
So hereā€™s the thing. if we keep dividing ourselves further, and further Donald Trump, has already, won. end of line end of discussion. If you continue to further untrue, negatives about candidates Donald Trump has already won.

ā€œKidsā€ from ā€œlower income, minority neighborhoodsā€ donā€™t have ā€œsomeone they know personally who testifies to the value of education.ā€ - Pete Buttigieg, 2011 South Bend Mayoral Candidate

#MayorPete #PeteForAmerica #Pete2020 #Buttigieg2020 #Buttigieg
šŸ”¦:The longer clip isnā€™t better:

#PeteButtigieg agreed (šŸ—£: ā€œdefinitelyā€) w/ Libertarian Pat Farrell that he/retired people could be mentors to kids.

Pete identifies poor ā€œminority neighborhoodā€ kids as needing mentors b/c no one they know ā€œtestifies to the value of education.ā€

To all of you who are against Yang's version of UBI because as you say the "rich" get it or really anyone not at or below poverty level.

You are missing one of the main reasons it is being proposed in the first place.

Automation. Truck drivers make about 50k plus.
As well as other occupations that will be automated. Radiologists, retail workers, call center jobs, contract lawyers etc.

Everyone impacted will need extra resources coming in to prepare for their next steps.

It is not meant to live on or replace previous income but intended
to soften the landing. To give them some savings to retrain in a different career or start a business.

It is also intended to strengthen the economy of our dying small towns, to create jobs locally etc

means-testing will prevent all of this.

2/ I believe @SteveGrossmanMA became the first to endorse #Pete2020, on 4/11. He is a former DNC Chair, former Massachusetts State Treasurer, and current CEO of the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City, a non-profit that trains inner-city entrepreneurs.

3/ Grossman called Pete ā€œa Midwestern, down-to-earth, smart, savvy, in-touch candidateā€ who can flip industrial states. ā€œMy concern is the future of the US... I think Pete has the capacity to be the beacon for an awful lot of people who really feel a deep, deep sense of concern.ā€

About climbing my 1st 14er, campaigning for @PeteButtigieg at 14,000ft, finding community with strangers, an electrifying moment, and the biggest surprise of my life!
We arrived at the #MtEvans trailhead around 7:30am, the peak was lost in fast moving clouds. #14er
Mt Evans magnets & shirts don't lie, the GOATS! So awesome.
We had goats greet us at the trailhead, we kept our distance &
ogled them with delight. #14ers
#OhWhataBeautifulMorning
#TeamPete, I brought my @playmobil #minime & a #Pete2020 banner for some inspiring photos exploring #AmericatheBeautiful.
#SummitLake parking lot, with another 2,00-odd ft to ascend to the peak of #MtEvans, a #14er that I can see from my house, SE of Denver!

We started looking at automated activity (and potentially other aspects of) tweets containing various #<candidate first or last name>2020 hashtags (e.g., #Warren2020, #Kamala2020, #Bernie2020, etc.) We examined tweets from Jan 1st - July 3rd, 2019.

cc: @ZellaQuixote
Looking more closely at the 2020 hashtags that have both a significant percentage (we used 10% as a cutoff, 3%-ish is average) of automated activity and at least 1000 tweets, we see sizable volume for tweets posted via VK (Russian Facebook-esque social network.) What's the deal?
The VK activity in the 2020 hashtags comes from 21 very similarly-named accounts. Account names are the display name with "Im" prepended (e.g., "Alberta Swift" = "@ImAlbertaSwift.) All tweets were posted via VK, and none tweeted before 2018 (despite some being created in 2015.)

In another thread, @Asians4Pete asked how we first encountered @PeteButtigieg. My story is kinda long (or maybe I'm just long-winded), so I'm starting a different thread. The operative word is "long" šŸ˜¬. 1/31

I moved to the US to attend Notre Dame. One of the first people I met was the chair of the English department there. So basically, unlike most of my fellow Americans, for as long as I've lived in this country, I've known how to pronounce Buttigieg. 2/31
(Aside to @Chas10Buttigieg: Buddha-judge is not how you pronounce Buttigieg. As any #desi will tell you, that's not even how you pronounce Buddha.) 3/31
