It's been 2 years since you passed away and the void in my heart is still empty and aching. Just wrote out few lines on you to reminisce those memories with you and help me grieve better..

How is it that we can walk the shores after a storm
With nothing more than our thoughts in mourn
And still find our way home?

With the powers, fears, and lives of a world within
And still be reduced to rubble
A kid’s forgotten lesson?
How can it be that we stare death in the face and act like we do, every day?

How can it be that we hold onto the past so?
If it’s true that all you need is love
Why is it laced with sadness so?
How is it that we’d sooner walk away from love
Than say we’re sorry
Or admit a wrong?
