(2) The alleged murder happened 4 days ago. MAGA activists have jumped to conclusions iso taking just 10 minutes to find the facts.
It was the DC Met Police who used the term "accident," not particularly CNN.

(3) Read the PD statement below. As usual, the first they heard of the incident was when a bystander reported what he or she thought was a car accident. Only later did the PD find it was an alleged murder and car crash/wreck.

It's really hard to do this well when you're wedded to the viewpoints of one side. I am still a conservative ofc but - I'm an indy one.

(3) Four years of defending MAGA policies gave me a good education about conservative policies; economic, social, foreign, and domestic.
I now defend C policies on a case by case basis, while critiquing the GOP's ability to advance them, bc I want the GOP to succeed in future.

There will be a Republican party. But IMO Biden is right to say this, bc the honest truth is that Trump has deliberately torched the party (for no discernible gain to Americans, just to him & his family & friends.)

PSA: I write provocative tweets like the one above in order to generate discussion. Since I "came out" as a *former* supporter of Trump my replies have declined sharply. So, I say seemingly outlandish things that rile up some people. That said...

(1) The Capitol riot of 1/6 was a worse crime than the rioting of Summer 2020 over the BLM movement because the target was the occupants of a building that is the center of the US legislative branch, while it was in session.
I see 1/6 whataboutism as an admission of guilt.

(2) There's a saying in the conservative movement that "whataboutism is a moral necessity." I agree with that when talking about issues that don't involve criminal offending such as domestic terrorism. IMO, issues that do should be treated the way a court would treat them.
(3) Yes, the domestic terrorism carried out last summer was criminal offending and I hope all the LE agencies with jurisdiction have been doing their best to apprehend the offenders. Just because some of them didn't is no excuse for carrying out violence on 1/6.

(3) I support conservative policies so, from early 2016 to late 2020, Trump represented the best chance of seeing those policies implemented. And if he had behaved like an adult after 11/3/20, the #PostTrumpGOP would have a decent chance of doing well in the midterms and 2024.
This would be funny if it wasn't so close to the truth. Many times in past yr, Trump has shown by his actions, omissions &, sometimes, his actual words, that he is at best indifferent to otherwise preventable deaths.

(1) After decades of studying & working in politics, I finally realized it's better to have a leader who is a team player than someone who goes it alone.
