I went to an @AlexianerGmbH hospital because I took an antibiotic, and suddenly couldn’t eat or sleep. Their “treatment” left me with such poor vision, that six months later, I still can’t work on my laptop to work on design, or digital art like this. 😞
Their doctors insisted I was depressed, but ironically, their treatment has left me in a position where I need to actively focus on why things could still be worse, so I’m not feeling ridiculously depressed 24-7.
Imagine convincing a graphic designer to take drugs that could negatively impact one of their most prized possessions - their vision So fucking cruel. 😞 Nobody ever warned me that my vision could be impacted either.

1/4 I started advocacy work years ago after my teen was #prescribedharm & died an avoidable, #akathisia-induced death. Initially, I thought prescribers, medical & #suicide organizations needed to be made aware that prescribed harm & iatrogenic "suicides" are not rare occurrences.
2/4 Soon I learned that most of these organizations & prescribers already knew they were promoting & prescribing harm & death. Trusting consumers who took the pill-pushers' products didn't know they were taking part in a Russian Roulette game, but many of the drug pushers knew.
3/4 Research about #akathisia-induced violence & #iatrogenic death has been available for decades. @DrDavidHealy's work was well known among prescribers, particularly #psychiatrists, long ago. Ditto for the #SSRI clinical trial deaths, mounting body bags & wrongful death cases.

@jill_d35 @NoMoreStigmaMH (2) We've only been together a few months, so this intense period of living together has taught me a great deal about the brain injury he sustained from #ECT in 2015, and the impact this has had on his life. It is still has a huge impact now, in both of our lives.
@jill_d35 @NoMoreStigmaMH (3) Andy was 45 when he had #ECT and he has lost more as a result of it than he could ever have dreamed. He had a good career, two degrees, was fit, climbed mountains, spoke 7 languages. Now he is unable to work due to cognitive impairment and has days when walking is difficult.
@jill_d35 @NoMoreStigmaMH 4) His speech is often affected, and he has to rest every afternoon to get through the day to it's end.
Can you imagine Jem, how I feel when psychiatrists like Robert Howard & Tim Stevens deny evidence of brain damage exists from #ECT? We live with the evidence every damn day.
