It’s truly disappointing to me, as a Black woman and someone who is fiercely supposed to bigotry and hatred of all kinds, that more attention isn’t given to the offline abuse suffered by people on this campaign and, more importantly, the millions affected by moderate policies.
I’m thinking abt unprecedented deportations, I’m thinking about generations of my family in midwestern post-industrial decline due to bad trade deals, I’m thinking abt undischargable student debt, I’m thinking abt millions incarcerated for marijuana offenses— all backed by Biden.
This moment is about judgment. We need a president who took an ethical stand when it mattered. Who fought to protect folks against predatory banks and draconian criminal justice policies & right wing dog whistles about poverty. Not someone repeatedly on the wrong side of history.

While we await results, here’s what we know for sure: Bernie dominated with Latinos & other immigrant populations in Iowa. Again & again, we see that he has the unique ability to put together the diverse, working class coalition necessary to beat Trump. #PresidentBernieSanders
"Iowa’s first caucus-goers filtered into a union hall in Ottumwa. Fourteen of them were there to caucus for Bernie Sanders, almost all immigrants, primarily from Ethiopia but also from Honduras and Macedonia."

Thread: I've been holding back on @AndrewYang a little bit, but now I think it's time to push back much harder on him. Honestly, I think some people underestimate how dangerous a Yang presidency would be. 1K monthly is not enough to live. The cost of living continues to rise.
@AndrewYang This is especially true, if his UBI plan is implemented without a rent cap (which @BernieSanders supports. Landlords will hike the rent as soon as it passes. I'm someone who cannot afford to give up disability/food stamps for 1k a month. It would crush me, first of all.
@AndrewYang @BernieSanders Also, 1K a month puts us at the mercy of the wealthy. if it's taken us 30 years to raise the minimum wage how long will it take to raise that 1k a month? The cost of living cannot be stressed enough. If it cuts into disability and food stamps people like me are done for.
