Additionally, the bill takes a positive step to create a select bipartisan committee to craft a solution for 10 million workers and retirees whose pensions are at risk of being cut. #ProtectOurPensions

It is my fervent hope that our unfinished business — such as job growth and pension security, affordable medicines, infrastructure, arresting the opioid epidemic, a pathway to citizenship for #Dreamers and affordable education — will be advanced now that this measure has passed.

.@MickMulvaneyOMB today called much-needed pension relief a "bailout."

This is not a bailout, this is money workers have set aside from their pay so that as retirees they can have retirement security from their pension.

Despite this Administration’s obsession with cutting Wall Street regulations and providing tax cuts to the 1%, Mr. Mulvaney needs to look into the mirror and remember who he works for, and that is the American people.
