Thread on #RahulGandhi

People just want to avoid to be seen supporting #RaGa because of the fake image is tagged with him.
Reality is that he is ready for India but India isn’t ready for him. He is too kind and humble for the nation of naturally dishonorable simpletons. 1/n
Ironically, ask a parent what kind of person you would like your son to become, more will take Rahul Gandhi’s name than Modi’s.
#RahulGandhi is the only politician in India at this moment who can take on the communal ideology and win against it for good. 2/n
Only he can pull everyone together under congress’s big tent just like it happened during independence struggle. Had the unfortunate events of #Pulwama dint happen, I would not be taking this stand on him, but talking about economy, social justice and employment stats. 3/n

What is relationship between Prime Minister #ImranKhan of #Pakistan & #Rothschilds? Why did Kissinger refer to him as "Our Boy" to the Foreign Minister of Pakistan? Isn't it true that his wife wrote in her memoir that he owes his career to the #Goldsmiths? greatgameindia.com/imran-khan-and…

The 2nd pic from @free_thinker tells us how people realised Indian naivete as a huge potential market for Right Wing idiocy. And people are making money. The same way, trade pacts are signed by sweet award deals. Here's the list. Think how worthy are they versus our Nation's good

The #UAE diplomacy with #NewDelhi is a step forward in helping end #India-#Iran strategic partnership. If successful, this will help #Pakistan interests that suffered due to Indian-Iranian partnership in #Afghanistan & #Balochistan. /1

@AQpk
The #UAE is likely hoping to permanently end #India's reliance on #Iran oil imports, and shift its oil contracts to Arab Gulf suppliers. #AbuDhabi is likely also interested in seeing India end its role in #Chabahar port, which has also created problems for #Pakistan and #China.
While helping #Pakistan economically & diplomatically (quiet diplomacy to bring the #US & #Islamabad closer), the #UAE has walked a fine balance to court #India in the hope of encouraging an #Indian shift away from #Iran.

A #thread on the media reporting on Kashmir, that we tried to cover in Asia Times last week. We made an interesting discovery, particularly about the BBC and its reporting in Soutj Asia.
We have seen how sharply divided the reporting in India and abroad has been. While many Indian media houses have been criticised (rightly so, in my opinion) about becoming govt mouthpieces, not enough has been examined about the role of the "foreign media" like the BBC
And this is what we found. When it comes to terror attacks, the BBC has a dual approach. If the attack is in the UK, then their reporting clearly labels it as a "terror attack".
Eg A report on compensation-related issues after a "terror attack"

Its #KargilVijayDiwas today

Do you have any street, junction, stadium, learning or sports center in your city names after martyrs of Kargil conflict?

A total of 522 Jawans martyred in 1999 including 22 officers

A total of 1754 Jawans martyred up to 2002 including 108 officers
Few know that ABV led NDA govt decisively failed on many fronts during the #Kargil conflict

Yes, India won the conflict

But we paid a huge price

Govt grossly underreported the death of soldiers and officers during the conflict and only shared full figures in 2002
The conflict went on for over 2 months

It was an occupation of Indian territory by Pakistan but PM Atal hesitated to declare war

Even when India finally reclaimed the lost territories, Indian Army was not allowed to cross LoC and hunt down the enemy

Just read Nanavati Commission report on Godhra? It seems to be as meticulously planned as Pulwama. With necessary ingredients of harasses Muslim vendors and intolerant Hindus. Intolerance became national narrative after @narendramodi became PM, but it was tried in Gujarat.
And when one reads about UC Bannerjee commission brought in by Sonia Gandhi to contain the damage, one is appalled at the straight face with which Priyanka and concocted conspiracists speak of protecting constitution.
Bannerjee Babu ran a single person committee to debunk Nanavati report. He did not meet the head of SIT, wrote report sitting in Delhi. His report was termed unconstitutional by the High Court. Congress challenged the HC decision.

The first Airstrike by US against "terrorists" in Afghanistan after 9/11 began on 7 Oct 2001. Nearly 2 decades later, US is now talking to "Taliban" for a "deal". This is how effective airstrikes are against "terrorists". 1/n
WRT India's airstrike on "terrorist camps" in Pakistan, how degrading would that be to the terror networks in reality? Very little. You can't destroy much that cannot be replaced quickly. Would that work as a deterrent? No. 2/n
India's airstrike against terrorist camps in Pakistan is more for optics and electoral posturing by Modi-Doval & company. Like the last "surgical Strike" could not prevent more terror attacks on India, neither would this. 3/n

Note on possible #IAF #airstrike today. There is NO SUCH THING as "terror camps". These aren't concentrated like schools or colleges. These are disaggregated and dispersed AT ALL TIMES. If targets were struck they would be military targets
.2n this IAF Embraer 145 AWACS was patrolling since the early hours. Watchers know this is an unusual pattern, although it did come close to the area of the alleged strike, it patrolled South as well. The plane has since returned to base. Source: @zone5aviation #IAF #airstrike

With respect to events in #Pulwama I present a thread. Let’s go back in time to WW1. The British needed to destroy Ottoman the most powerful at the time. When Ottoman sided with Germany , British knew to maintain their hold on resources divide & rule were necessary.
We all know about Sykes-Picot where Sunni Shia divide was created which continues to this day but here we will talk about something else. A Ministry Of Commonwealth was established in london to fight Islam & create schisms. One of such many thousand agents was Hempher.
He travelled to Egypt, Iraq, Hidjaz & Istanbul for this purpose. He learnt Turkish & integrated seamlessly. He returned to London for briefing and was subsequently sent to Basra, Iraq a strategic location for his mission.

some NGO raising money, angry statements from clueless Bollywood people, Internet drowned with arm chair generals and idiots giving advice on military tactics etc etc.

Let's get a few things straight.
Terrorism is not an act of 'cowardice' or 'desperation'. It is an act of cold-blooded terror. Politicians who keep repeating the same hackneyed lines are basically trying to avoid responsibility by disowning failure to crush terrorism. #Pulwama 1
It would be best if politicians representing the Government and the Opposition keep quiet after terrorist attacks. Anything they say is unadulterated bakwas. Nation is tired of glycerine tears for shahid jawans and insincere promises of retaliatory action. #Pulwama 2
Jammu & Kashmir is effectively under Central rule. Today's suicide bombing resulting in horrific deaths of jawans indicates an abysmal failure of intelligence agencies. Responsibility devolves on Modi Sarkar. Bluster cannot hide this fact. #Pulwama 3

Ok, so this 15 tweet thread was a replug of my long held point of view on the terror apparatus in the Valley.
Now let me share some thoughts on today's #PulwamaAttack.
Still disjointed, but let's see how it goes

#PulwamaAttack
Firstly, what happened and how it happened is by now well known. So I won't talk about it.
In addition, it continues to be my belief that it is Pakis that are behind it. Thoughts on that are embedded in the first tweet of this thread.

#PulwamaAttack
Let me concentrate instead on some thoughts that have been wracking my head for the past few hours.
Firstly, and strictly a personal opinion, this is partly a manifestation of the planned US withdrawal from Afghanistan.

1n I'm hearing a lot of talk on "avenging every drop of blood" over the dastardly ISIS style #Pulwama attack on the #CRPF. Sadly, what options exist due to our own myopia & focus on land for land retaliation means what we do will be limited & ineffectual. Let's us be clear
2n this @ImranKhanPTI was is & will his dying breath be a jihadi ISI puppet. That Kashmiri terrorists were going to escalate to ISIS style attacks, was imminent. The UPA kept this in check by @PChidambaram_IN's brilliant policy of throwing money at Baloch separatists & allowing
3n them to set Pakistan on fire. This government stopped that policy & I had warned about the consequences way back in 2014 & then again in 2015. The problem is we have limited state options. On one hand we believe in ground retaliation for ground attacks. This is foolish,
