1- The Maritime Agreement between Israel and Lebanon deserves support for 2 main reasons: First, No matter how you look at it, this is an agreement between #Lebanon and #Israel, and an actual recognition of Israel by #Hezbollah. #ترسيم_الحدود_البحرية
2- The rhetoric of “Israel does not exist and this is an occupied land etc…” will become irrelevant under the new reality. Hezbollah cannot say they will never negotiate with an enemy/occupier, because they just did.
3- Second, an agreement that focuses on the econ. interests of the 2 countries will elevate stability. Hezbollah’s war rhetoric will eventually fade out. On the long run, the resistance narrative will be outdated – the group itself chose the benefits of negotiations with Israel.

Should borders be defined based on the presence (or not) of prospects?
The question should be raised because in the debate on the 🇱🇧/🇮🇱 maritime border dispute, some people appear to be equating gas fields with prospects.
#Karish for example is a gas field. Its presence has been established following drilling activity in 2013. It is being developed and if everything goes as planned, production is expected in Q3 2022.
#Qana is a prospect. A prospect is an area of interest, but the presence of a gas field there has not been established. Only drilling can confirm the presence of a field and no drilling was conducted at Qana. On average, only 1 in 5 wells leads to a commercial discovery.

I was a 9 year old kid..that night after all the horrible images of dead children..I became a grown up. I never knew what hate was before that night but after it..I became a woman who hates.
I hated war planes and machine guns and artillery shells and the sounds of bombs and images of death, destruction and blood.

I hated Israel.

I never knew what dignity and pride were until the 25th of May 2000..but that is another story to be told later.
