A small thread for a Friday.. The expected demand growth for #REE for permanent magnets in EV electric motors and wind power generators is well covered. What about electric boats?
There are close to 1m recreational boats in Sweden, probably because our archipelago looks like this. But they all rung on fossil fuels. 
So not surprisingly, two really successful electric boat startups come out of Sweden, @XShoreSweden and @CandelaBoat

Let me explain.
2-#Monazite is a mineral highly rich in #REE, with a particular high concentration of those required to create magnets used in EVs, for example. This picture from Medallion Resources 2017 presentation gives you an idea of the #REEs that can be found.
3-However #monazite contains thorium (2%-14%) and uranium (0.05%-0.3%) that must be removed before it can be sent to the separation plant. Enter $EFR $UUUU. In the US there is no facility licensed to do this except for White Mesa, not even $MP.
Hmmm, I thought @AppiaEnergy was "just" an #REE play. 🤔
Some takeaways from the release: First, this isn't deep down hard rock mining. This is surface with very little overburden so think open pit. Loranger is showing #REE as well as #uranium so the story just gets better. This is the kind of release you get from a no BS geo. 🐂🐂🐂

Appia had a nice recover off its lows today and regained the uptrend line. Volume picked up in the process. Trendline remains suspect until we make a higher high though.
