The plaintiffs are Catholic nuns, clinics, a university, and hospitals who gladly serve ALL patients regardless of sex or gender identity. They provide top-notch care to transgender patients for everything from cancer to the common cold.
They also provide millions of dollars in free and low-cost care to the elderly, poor, and underserved rural areas.
There have been a lot of misleading claims made by #ReligiousFreedom proponents in favor of the #RespectForMarriageAct. Two stand out to me as most troubling:
First, it's claimed that relig. groups should be glad that RFMA, with the Collins' Am., affirms that people who believe in traditional marriage are "reasonable and sincere" and their convictions are "based on decent and honorable religious...premises."

But that's NOT what it says. The bill does not say these things about ppl who believe in "traditional marriage," but about ppl who believe "diverse beliefs about the role of gender in marriage." Such people are, RFMA says, "due proper respect."

3 weeks ago I sent a letter to St Louis Co expressing deep concern about the ongoing Stay-At-Hone-Order & asked for evidence for their extreme restrictions. Not only did they ignore our request for justification, they pulled a bait and switch & issued a new amended order
After review of the amended order it become clear, given the number of typos & blatant inconsistencies that this was rushed out the door in an attempt to appease our office and avoid litigation.
