మా ఊరి రేషన్ షాపు డీలరు ఎల్లమ్మగారి శేషాడ్డి. నాకు ఒక బియ్యం కార్డు (తెల్ల కార్డు) ఉంది. ఒక్కో కార్డుకు నెలకు 5 కేజీల బియ్యం వచ్చాయి. నెల నెలా నేను సిన్న ప్లాస్టిక్ కవర్ రేషన్ షాపుకు కొండబొయ్యి బియ్యం ఏపిచ్చుకుంటా. ఈ కవర్ నోరు సిన్నది. అందుకని

శేషాడ్డి ఓపిగ్గా ఒక 'పావు' గిన్నె తీసుకుని నా కవర్ లో బియ్యం ఏచ్చాన్యాడు. ఈ మధ్య శేషాడ్డికి ఒంట్లో బాలేదని వాళ్ల కొడుకు ఎంకటరెడ్డి రేషన్ షాపులో కూర్చుంటాండాడు. వాడికి వాళ్ల నాయంనంత ఓపిక ల్యా. 'పావు'తో 4 తూర్లు పోయానీకి ఓపిక లేక ఓకేతూరి 'పడి'తో తటాలున పోచ్చానాడు.
నా కవర్ మూతేమో సిన్నది. పడితో పోచ్చాంటే బియ్యం అన్ని కింద పోతాండాయ్. మనం సెప్పినట్టు డీలర్ ఇంటాడా.అందుకే నేనే కవర్ బదులు పెద్ద గోనె సంచీ తెచ్చుకుంటాడా. పెద్ద 'పడి'తో పోసినా నా 5 kgల బియ్యం నా సంచిలోనే పడతాయి అని నా ఆశ. నువ్వు చిన్న కవరే తెచ్చుకోవాల గోనెసంచి తెచ్చుకోవద్దు అంటానారు
