Y’all know that @TNedu has been pulling out all the stops on literacy.
Its #Reading360 teacher training, developed by @TNedu in partnership with @TNTP has earned, incredibly-high marks.
99.5%! This is like the unicorn of training.

This year, @TNedu is doing something truly pioneering, adding a Secondary Literacy Training for upper grade Eds, in addition to its well-reviewed Early Reading Training.
This is huge! Many kids get to secondary w/ reading struggles. Teachers need more support.

I love Mississippi’s work in teacher training. BUT… MS has not taken action to get high-quality curriculum into schools.

Tennessee is a standout leader in use of high-quality curriculum, and they’ve done much more to advance reading instruction under the #Reading360 initiative.
I’ll be there a few times for @TNedu Tennessee Literacy Month, and it’s truly an honor to see and share this work.

Increasing use of high-quality curriculum is a longtime goal of many states. In fact, 13 states participate in @CCSSO's High-Quality Instructional Materials and Professional Development (IMPD) network, squarely focused on this goal.
