I was denied opiates when I had crippling daily 10/10 pain [blacking out became common] due to my age

In addition to having several chronic pain conditions my daughter has a heart condition & a seizure disorder.

She had been established with a PM for 4 yrs until he sold his practice.

After the practice sold she was discharged
2)because she requested to have an appointment directly after they returned from lunch so that she wouldn't have to sit 3-4 hrs waiting for her appointment.

There were several times that we would apply lidocaine to her entire body in preparation for a procedure &
3)by the time they took her back it had worn off & her pain level was then too high to proceed.

They scheduled her for a procedure in 2 weeks. A week later she received a letter in the mail notifying her that she had been discharged with a 30 day RX.

Brief summation of my long #RealPainStory - I was born with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. Significant motor control issues were evident from the get go, and I’ve been in physical therapy pretty much constantly since I was two months old. Some of my earliest memories revolve around 1/13
the significant musculoskeletal pain that comes hand in hand with the disorder. Although I was always unable to be in sports or play around physically with other kids, I functioned well enough academically until about age 12. Then everything changed. I started experiencing 2/13
severe episodes of pain around my lower abdomen and down into my groin. On the level of the skin, it felt like someone had lit a chemical fire. On the level of the muscle, it felt like I was being stabbed. I had no idea what was going on, nor did others. Within a few months 3/13
